This is my favorite Maroon 5 song by far. I think their style changed a lot in the last years. What used to be a pop/rock band now sounds just like pop all the time.
It is a song about a difficult love relationship, something like obsessive love but full of a most powerful and sincere erotic side to it.

Ive always heard of them since i was a kid and some songs here and there, but was never highly interested. around the early to mid 2010s though when i heard more Adam Levine on the radio it kinda confused me cause i was like "Isnt Maroon 5 some kinda rock band?? Whys it sound like just the singer and a bunch of produced music??" i wasnt even a big fan and even I could tell how weird it was , and how much more pop it was. I think i get where alot of the long time M5 fans are coming from maybe. I kinda liked Sugar, but still when i heard it and found out it was Levine, i was WAAY too confused, just constantly thinking "Isnt this a band?? this doesn't sound like a band"

Nettacki "starting out" exactly, now their songs get way more publicity, likes and views etc I think this song is their best song IMO and so I think it deserves more credit than it gets.
