I am UK ARMY so when I first heard this I knew it would do well. He has Little Sims on there from the UK and I was so happy when I saw his look and this m/v as it is obviously filmed in the UK. Although his very first mixtape 'RM' from 2015 is classic hip hop, this album definitely has that same rawness. Oh, and RM hit number 1 on billboard top rap album charts on June 8th and hit number 37 on the main UK Album charts. And this is a Korean language alternative/rap album! Amazing achievements when you put it in context!💜
A brief style breakdown of the BTS Rapline: 🐨RM is “rhythm and poetry”. He says he’s a poet first before he’s a rapper. Musically he’s most adventurous these days bending genre and sounds. RM is definitely speaking to a bunch of people on this track from government officials to that monk, yes a monk. Too many people are putting pressure on RM to speak on this or that issue when all he wants to do is be and artist and make music. Last year during his time off he goes to art museums and temples, at one he met a monk he asked for advice from and that monk exposed RM's conversations to the media. It spread like wildfire all over the country so I can imagine he must have felt his privacy was invaded by someone he trusted. RM never spoke publicly about the issue until this song. I'm glad he let it all out in this album, it's absolutely raw and just so him, no filter. Sleep Deez an american producer and his friend also gave the album a stamp of approval and even said this is a top contender for grammy noms. Billboard and Rolling stone magazines named RPWP the best album of 2024 (so far).
Thing is RM can do whatever he wishes. It's rare such a massive established artist with alot to lose is so experimental. NUTS or DOMADACHI. May I suggest one right ftom the begining of his career its a little difficult to get the subtitles do put in RM DO YOU ENGLISH SUBS. Then when the mv loads press CC.
A couple of the producers for his album are members of a group called 'Balming Tiger'. RM was a featured artist in their song 'Sexy Nukim' a couple of years ago. I think you'd find the song and MV really interesting. I highly suggest it. It's a great song.
Namjoon did the MV here in the UK in London he was here about the same time a V was here making his MV at the famous ACE CAFE in London. So yeah it was grey winter time before they enlisted. Loving RM's album.
