here's my tip for xiaomi. just enter the pro mode. switch to photo and setup your custom photographic style - contrast, saturation, tonality and sharpening. I reduced the contrast and sharpening and now... now I'm satisfied. Just use it and enjoy the result! by the way, you can set all other parameters on auto and basically you'll lose only the HDR... no the best HDR anyway
Thank you for the video. I have been using this smartphone for over a month now. I'm very pleased, but there are a couple of nuances. Many people will agree with me that most people take photographs of other people. And when photographing people, you need to use a telephoto camera so as not to disturb the proportions of people. So, except for the aperture, they did not change the telephoto camera. Same sensors as xiaomi 13 ultra. These sensors are already very small, compared to, for example, OPPO find x 6 pro and vivo x 100 ultra. Another disadvantage is the inability to shoot 4k 120 frames on all cameras. Also, Dolby vision is not compatible with all video modes. But overall, I am very pleased and have practically stopped taking the Canon R10 for walks.
Nice intro indeed... Puts your video up another level😊 It will be interesting to judge the Xiaomi against the 100 ultra after your longer term assessment
At the moment Vivo X100 Ultra has a unpolished OS. Bugs in it's camera settings. Perhaps later when Vivo updates the phone to iron out all these then it's a good comparison & competition. Until then Xiaomi 14U is a much better option.
Loved the intro.🔥🔥 Also love the new format you did here. It indeed helps to get across your views about the 14 Ultra. It is a phone that has so many capabilities and still a lot of potential to be even better if the pain-points are addressed, so you probably wouldn't have gotten that across in your usual style (which i love too btw).
Thank you very much!!! Drawn everything out that I had in my head to then film it, which... well wasn't easy hahahaha. The tripod and position was hard to get right hahaha. And agreed, I feel like this was needed to really confey that message, so I am glad it did! Thank you!
@@ThroughJermainesLens yeah, probably isn't something to do for every video. Which isn't needed either tbh. You usually get the point across just fine, but this case was indeed special. I have the 14 Ultra as well and although I love it, something felt a little off but I couldn't quite tell what it was... I am just a photography fan and far from a Pro like you of course, but I do see the inconsistency too. And seeing this video, it all fell in place for me. Still, I hope Xiaomi is working on a serious update, I find it strange that we only had one update so far. I have the OPPO Find X7 Ultra too since March and that has gotten 8 or 9 updates so far. And huge ones too, seriously improving things.

@@pe_1980 i do appreciate that! I do! And yeah the number of updates doesn't matter to me, but it needs work so no updates stand out 😅 And Samsung yeah that one is just a lot of no for me 😅
I've been using it for more than a month now. I would say the camera quality is damn amazing, and I am very satisfied with it. However, there are also times when I am disappointed. Sometimes the pictures are overexposed, and the skin tone is somewhat oversaturated which requires adjustment. The issue that I would love to see on this phone is battery life. SOT is around 3 to 6 hours from 100 to 20% depending on the usage. Most of the time, for me, the SOT is 3hrs and 30mns to 4hrs and 30mns.

Well described about xiaomi. It needs to work hard on their hdr rear and specially on their front cameras. They are in urgent need to patchup the potraits perameters by update. But we all know it is very slow in that case but i am sure infuture they will. But i must say even without the update currently the xiaomi cameras are leaps and bounce ahead of so called flagship samsung and apple cameras. Anyways well presented thoughts and love the intro, keep it up.
I have also owned a Xiaomi 14 Ultra since pretty much the official launch in Europe. My experience with the device is similar to yours. I am torn between the two. Sometimes the 14 Ultra takes really fantastic photos only to completely fail a little later. What I have noticed as a big weakness are HDR photos. Xiaomi really needs to work on that again. Sometimes I don't even dare to take landscape photos in the sunshine anymore, because I always have to worry that the sky is completely overexposed. I actually had the Vivio x100 Pro in mind at first, but decided against it because of some non-existent frequency bands and the lack of Android Auto support. But I still have some regrets about the Vivo, especially for HDR shots. Hopefully Xiaomi will release a few camera updates for the 14 Ultra to fix the problems.
it is so odd right!? and HDR, it really depends indeed! And the Vivo X100 pro doesn't that have a global release? So that should come with android auto?
@@ThroughJermainesLens I am unsure about the Vivo x100 pro. When I do the compatibility check at Tradingshenzen, for example, the 800Mhz band is missing and it tells me that Android Auto would not work. Maybe it's because Tradingshenzen sends the Chinese version and not the global one?
