Hey, I’m a little late watching your video. I stumbled across it. That was very impressive of you. You handled everything very well. Even the whoops.I am 60. Moved to Saigon end of last year. And married a Vietnamese lady. And I still haven’t ridden a motorbike on my own yet. It’s very intimidating to me. But watching your video. I have a little more confidence in myself to try it. I am sure my wife would appreciate it😂 So thank you for sharing your trip. 😊 new subscriber by the way😉
You have a great sense of how everything should flow within your video, and the editing is outstanding. The quality is on par with any million-sub channel and I applaud you for that.
Thanks for making this video! I'm planning a trip to Vietnam in November and am anxious about motorcycling through it but as I'm watching your adventure, it gives me comfort it can absolutely be done. There is more logistics I have to think through, but this is a great start for me! 🙂
Best Saigon-Hanoi motorbike video I've watched. The video is not too long, not too short. Good fun stops events and information along with well-edited footage. Enjoyed the music too. 👍
I rode on the back of a motorbike from Saigon to Hue once. Next trip nine years later I rode from Hanoi to hoi An. I was with an experienced driver each time. You are so brave to have driven especially in the big cities. Watching your video brought back so many wonderful memories!!!
Well done! Riding a motorbike through Viet Nam is one of the greatest mind expanding travel adventures of a lifetime 🙏🏼 your rooftop thing in HCM was a unique twist I haven’t seen on RUclips.
Okay...so I'm in VN now and doing a Hanoi to Saigon trip...but with a combination of planes, trains, and buses with local jaunts around the cities I hangout in with local rented motorbikes. I'm an experienced road/desert/motocross motorcycle guy with mountain bike and road cycling rider & racer experience to complete my resume. I have also ridden a good bit in Thailand, and now Vietnam, so I can relate to every bit of your masterpiece video. Bottom-line: That was an an AWESOME video Monet! I just today did a Hue-to-Hai-Van-Pass-Summit-and-Back-To-Hue road trip. The weather and super-light traffic was perfect ONCE on the wonderfully winding 22 km HVP road. But as you point-out, the getting there on (first) the busy Hue city roads, and then (second) the heavily truck & tour bus-infested "highway", and then (third) on the way back dealing once again with Hue Friday afternoon/festival city traffic, is essentially beyond being harrowing as Hell. Since relative to the ride and your video, I could gush for a few pages on how I loved it , hated it, and will not sleep tonight because of it, I'm just going to use an array of words instead. Here goes.... Funny, stupid, outrageous, nuts/crazy, hilarious, creative, scary, painful, beautiful, dumb, clever, ouchy, (is to a word!), miraculous, amazing, outlandish, dangerous, brave, stinky, relatable, well-done...and if I haven't already said....HILARIOUSLY FUNNY. Plus I'm relatabily (may not be a word) chapped just thinking about the butt & inner thigh side of the story. Great Job!
Great trip! i've driven in Vietnam , Philippines, Thailand,India, and still hungry about explore more destinations. driving by motorbike is the best way feel everything on a trip.
I left from this exact Tigit location in Feb of 2020 from a loop of southern vietnam. I knew how to ride a motorcycle but had never ridden in the city. Was nervous but I definitely would not have done it as a first timer!
Did you have a Vietnam driver license and motobike insurance with the cards which are both mandatory here? Have a bad accident without either your fault or not and see what happens. Ever seen the show-"Locked-Up Abroad'?
sorry so late to response to this! I rented it, and if I remember correctly i think it cost about 250 USD for a couple weeks. Check out Tigit Motorbikes!
very surprised by your vlog .. you definitely offered adventure but something tells me that you are the adventure :) if you ever come to Hawaii let me know so we can have some beer .. just because you do not like it :)
The political situation at the time was complex but South Vietnam was an independent democratic country. The north invaded with the help of communist insurgents, the Soviet Union and China. The US tried to help but abandon the South after Nixon was impeached resulting in the fall of Saigon in 1975. After they took over, the communists jailed and killed thousands.
Really enjoy your energy and curiousity! As a Vietnamese, I haven't even tried riding by myself from Hanoi to HCM City, but you did really inspire me to do so one day. Thank you for making all the way to Vietnam and surely we welcome you again anytime. I have followed you and your travelling journey for quite a while now, ever since that Greenland video and your work with the NYTimes. Keep on exploring, all the best to you, and I wish I had the humor you have haha, it's deadly
Soon as I saw the honda blade i knew it was almost definitely from tigit :D Havent had the chance to use their services but they have great youtube videos
Love your documenting your journey. Good to watch as at this time it’s just nicer to stay in bed and soak in the scenery. But music esp. at 21:02 so distracting and I got no idea what that is- someone thinks that this jibber is h is cool. Anyway kudos- you are so brave god getting on that bike Thanks and cheers 🙏
If you are using a motobike to travel to remote villages watch out for robbery by local policement. see this story for more details: ruclips.net/video/_S0zHSfCcOI/видео.html
Not a serious vlogger, too silly and imature. If you expect to influence others, especially other newbie woman who want to experience riding please spend more time with safety issues.

Uhhh…the “pink meat” is cooked. Pork and chicken will turn pink after it’s marinated with salt. 😒
Yup that’s why I said it’s totally fine to eat it!
Fired 💙🔥🙌💚👍

I hope you find this comment someday.

A little careless of driving a motorbike in Vietnam with out knowing how to drive. Hoping you discourage your followers not to do the same.
