I was a CPhT for 12 years. I let my certification expire in 2008. I haven't worked in pharmacy since then. It's 2024 and I'm back. But my God I can't believe how much I have forgotten. I used to teach the mathematics portion of the cert exam at GA Perimeter College. Meanwhile I'm over here like IF JOHNNY HAD TWO APPLES!! I'm committed tho. I am so grateful that I found your videos.
I’m looking into becoming a Tech but, got sad because me and math is something but, knowing I’m not the only one but, can still do it , makes me feel better Ty 😊
07/02/2024 I have started my journey to become a certified PTCB 🎉 I’m a bit nervous because I am extremely nervous and very horrible at math 🧮 I just found these videos and I’ll let you guys know about my journey and if I passed. 😊
You should be able to apply after 500 hours of working in a pharmacy or completion of a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program! (I used rxtechexam and passed and was able to apply for PTCB)
This was an amazing refresher. I don't think I learned it this well the first time around, way back in elementary school. I purchased another test prep course online, but I've been using your videos to supplement my learning, and they are always 100% more in-depth and well explained. I'm still going to buy your course because it is affordable, and I don't think I can prepare too much for the test.
I start Pharmacy Tech soon, and I have started to study things that I don't know. I came across your video and it has helped, you also explain things great! I will be watching more videos as I continue to get ready for school! Thank you very much!!
I’m starting pharmacy tech soon, starting to get educated on things I don’t know, and came across your channel! So far so amazing, great job at explaining and keeping it simple! Thanks so much Amanda! 🙌
At 12.25 I don't understand how you got 5 to divide for the Simplist form 😓 I just can't comprehend math. You are great at explaining,it's just me. I've never been Good at math so I might have to change my course to something else
Im terrible at math looking at math videos helped there is a channel called tecmath that really helps if this is something you want to do don't give up
@Shadondrian Bryant hello! Did you pass the ptcb!? I'm taking mine in a few weeks and I'm horrid in math hence why I'm at this video! What's your secret? Lol and ty for the vid rec!

@@Dcourtlynjackson13 same!!! The math is definitely my weakest area! Good luck to you! Keep going! Am studying now as we speak!
If we have 5.25 decimal how to convert to fraction? Is the answer 5/4 ????
Or the right answer is 21/4
Looks like it should be 1 1/4
Maybe 5 1/4
Are we allowed calculator for ptcb exam
No. But I heard you could request one on site. Doesn't hurt to ask but there is a calculator on your comp when you take the exam.
No
Only paper and pencil
No calculator allowed.
