So far we love it, having moved up from 2015 focus....easy entry and exit, terrific visibility, and the safety features were the draw! Great customer service from Toyota of Cherokee County! I kidded my wife that I am going to add decals on the front fenders “To Protect and Serve”....CHP decals on the front doors.....love driving a “black and white”! Thanks again for your informative crazy reviews.

Hey Jeff. Thanks for doing this video on the XSE Hybrid. After watching this video and doing some more research on these I am seriously thinking of getting one of these now when my lease is up instead of the new TRD. My current lease is up the end of Oct but have gotten a letter from Toyota on my last two leases where they will buy out my last three months so I can go to a new one sooner if I want. I am pretty sure I will get this letter again and should probably get that letter if I do in July or August. I was thinking of going with a black TRD but after doing more research on that and then comparing it to this I feel this XSE hybrid is a much better vehicle to go with instead. I would like to go with the Silver color with black roof and black rims. I think that color combo looks really looks nice on these. I am sure you would agree that this XSE Hybrid would be a lot better to purchase than the TRD.

@@beeslandscaping Yup!!! I drove it after driving the Avalon Hybrid. I honestly couldn't tell the difference in ride or quietness in the cabin. Plus you sit higher, have AWD and more storage. So, I bought the 2020 RAV4 XSE Hybrid. I didn't like the look of the Limited. The XSE is a much better looking car.
I love Toyota, its quality & reliability. I will definitely buy one. BUT , yes ... but.... I HIGHLY suggest improvements in its quality a bit. Bump it up please. This is not meant to hate or put Toyota down. Just a customer that has heard diff points from CURRENT toyota owners.
The biggest complaint I have with Toyota is you can't order anything you want on the RAV4 XSE Hybrid. I wanted auto leveling Headlights. Nope, you have to get the Limited. I also wanted the air conditioned seats. Nope, you have to get the limited. It's just aggravating. If I am paying for the option I should be able to get what I want on the trim level I want. I don't like the looks of the Limited. The XSE Hybrid is a much better looking car. Especially in Blizzard White Pearl. And I LOVE the black 18" wheels.
I will have to agree with you. That is just the OEM's way of adding a few popular features and only adding it on the higher trim levels. This is an attempt to force you into a higher priced vehicle. This is common among other manufacture’s and not necessarily just a Toyota thing. My problem is the fact that there are some things that none of the trim levels contain at all. For instance, there is no power seat for the passenger (regardless of model\trim). The interior windows\door lock controls are not illuminated. I mean come on, a POS Chevy Cruze has illuminated buttons throughout the entire car! I have been checking these out for over the past year. I feel like Toyota sold customers short or kind of went the cheap route on them. I know to some that this all sounds kind of nit-picky, but I kind of expect things like power seats and illuminated buttons, especially while paying a premium price for a new car. These vehicles sticker in the high $30's to low $40K range.
@@franman9731 That's interesting about the lighted power window buttons. If you get the interior lighting package it puts lights everywhere, I believe. Even in the cup holders! But my problem is they change the looks of the vehicle and then say unless you buy that model you can't have certain things. My Grandfather used to own a chevy dealer. I remember buying the impala instead of the caprice because the Impala was cheaper. The only difference between the two was the appearance. For example on the Caprice you got hood trim and ornament. And in the Z28 you could get the IROC package but that meant you got special wheels and fog lights. Again appearance only. You could order ANY convenience option on either car. To me that's fine. But stuff you actually might want like ventilated seats as an option ONLY in the most expensive model is just stupid. But either way I am totally happy with the XSE Hybrid. But saying it gets 38mpg on the highway is a big lie. I would say maybe 33 at best. Toyota has a big problem with the truth when it comes to gas mileage. The Prius only gets 38 and they say 58!!!! Another big fat lie.
Would like to add that I also test drove a limited 2020 RAV4 hybrid Limited. Xse is the BOMB- i would suggest to anyone interested in buying a RAV4 hybrid to check out the xse .
I did not properly limit my use of the word limited. Nvm . Point still stands . Check out the xse , a fully tricked out xse is so much better of a ride than the limited
Toyota in Puerto Rico is not using the AWD badge on the sides of the rear door and the XSE badge is nowhere to be seen. You know that is the XSE because of black wheels, the black roof and the SofTex black seats. Mine is is a 2019 model but no Android Auto, no JBL sound system and no satellite radio.
The 2019 Rav4 models didn't have Android Auto, they do now in 2020. The JBL sound system and satellite radio are on the tech package so I guess yours didn't have that package.
No, that's all nonsense. They calibrate the gas gauge so you won't run it out of gas. If you do, it will damage the hybrid system and possibly void your warranty.
Mark Thompson the gas tank doesn’t fill up all the way. I just filled up at the gas station and didn’t come close to being full. My dealership is aware of the issue and hopefully there’s a fix soon
@@djwildheart I watched the video. I am a HUGE fox fan but I find it very hard to believe. I have a 2020 RAV4 Hybrid and I have no issues. So, it if it is a fuel tank flaw, why would some have the problem and others not? I think it's the loose nut in the seat!!!!!!
For me the fuel tank issue is not big. This car still have more than 600km on 10 gallons and you can still force a bit to get 2 more gallons. Look at all the gas model which range they get with 14 gallons. I bet it is less than the rav4 hybrid with the faulty tank level. And they will improve it one day. Toyota will get us fix as soon they are sure at 100%.but it is more difficult than simply the shape because they would have seen the issue during QA. I think it arrive after more than 3 refill this is why they didn’t see it. It is like in programming some bugs could arrive on multiple condition cumulated and it is more difficult to find.

I just purchased the Hybrid XLE, a very nice car BUT not too happy about the Gas tank issue. I don’t know if it was mentioned here or maybe the Canadian version doesn't have this issue, but the gas tank only allows about 11 gallons when it is empty. This is a flaw that’s annoying a a lot of people me included it. I have called Toyota and they don’t have a solid answer yet, the only thing they did was asking me to take the car to the dealer so they can confirm the problem. When I went to the dealer I have to insist and ask for the service manager, the guy was denying he ever heard of the issue and told me they don’t do that type of services after spoken with the manager they agreed to do the services, and admitted I was not the only one showing up or asking about this issue. I called back Toyota customer Services and they then told me they are aware of the issue but there is not a fix yet. It’s not a big deal but Toyota is advertising that the the vehicle can go for 570 miles with a full tank but that is not the case, in my case my vehicle only get around 400 but that’s because the tank only gets around 11 gallons. Other than that, a FINE vehicle. I'm In Washington, DC.

If you're in Canada the tech package includes LED fog lights....... I know as I'm getting one in a couple weeks.

@@djwildheart I watched the video. I am a HUGE fox fan but I find it very hard to believe. I have a 2020 RAV4 Hybrid and I have no issues. So, it if it is a fuel tank flaw, why would some have the problem and others not? I think it's the loose nut in the seat!!!!!!

For me the fuel tank issue is not big. This car still have more than 600km on 10 gallons and you can still force a bit to get 2 more gallons. Look at all the gas model which range they get with 14 gallons. I bet it is less than the rav4 hybrid with the faulty tank level. And they will improve it one day. Toyota will get us fix as soon they are sure at 100%.but it is more difficult than simply the shape because they would have seen the issue during QA. I think it arrive after more than 3 refill this is why they didn’t see it. It is like in programming some bugs could arrive on multiple condition cumulated and it is more difficult to find.

tank only allows about 11 gallons when it is empty. This is a flaw that’s annoying a
a lot of people me included it. I have called Toyota and they don’t have a solid answer
yet, the only thing they did was asking me to take the car to the dealer so
they can confirm the problem. When I went to the dealer I have to insist and
ask for the service manager, the guy was denying he ever heard of the issue and
told me they don’t do that type of services after spoken with the manager they
agreed to do the services, and admitted I was not the only one showing up or
asking about this issue. I called back Toyota customer Services and they then told me they are aware of the issue but there is not a fix yet. It’s not a big deal but Toyota is advertising that the
