EDC! LOL I see that and think "ACP" lol I should get one of those with my back! Not to mention those little screws (note: I was there, I forgot to look, the bugs and mice probably stole them by now!" grrr...I need to fix that issue but have work to do! Cheers!
Ouch -- I can still feel my fingers though my thumbs are shot (gotta get them fixed soon as the injections barely work on my left now) and the arthritis is making it more difficult to use them (getting old aint for the weak!) but you've got me beat! Not feeling even the tips of the fingers would make these puny screws even worse!
Hey there Teufelhunden, the RUclips algorithm just put me across your channel. Instant subscribe. I like how genuine you are. Im always looking for content from Uncle Sam's miss guided children. You men and women where my first real family. God bless all of you and I hope your channel takes off. Semper Fi Brother
LOL Funny thing, it was in the porch originally. Long story short, I put it into the porch in 2010 and thought that would work but as I was working full time I didn't have the opportunity to change things. Then I started my business, moved to the cabin, upgraded the power to pure sine wave 4kw inverter and 24v etc and said "I'm going to do something different"...and my business and job put all the cabin power on the back burner....but I had plans to move some inside and batteries to the back room once I finished it. Along comes and even busier time for work and my business (portable sawmilling) and things didn't change much. Upgraded to 2nd array etc and continued to say "I'm going to finish this"....and here we are today, having moved it all to the back room finally (in an emergency) and I HAVE to get that room done. I suspect the temporary/permanent installation will get sorted out sooner than later as I need to fix the entrance into the room and finally panel the room. I can't keep lifting the door out LOL so.... Wish me luck!
Good review! Thx. Seriously considering moving up to 60 amp CC now that I understand the combiner box aspect. BTW, ass backwards works for some of us 😅 Thx again for good info and reviews.
I'm happy with mine. Sure, I'm over sizing the CC and lots say not to but after all this time (14 years) I never had an issue running a 60a cc with just 615w/11.27a of solar
@@TheOldJarhead good luck on your new controller i have 4 different systems im changing over to the mppt controllers but keeping the tristars for back up they work so good i really hate to change
On a side note, virtually ALL solar components that have software you have to download off the net. They operate without it though. So, for example, this charge controller DOES NOT require you to have software. Only the Blue Tooth module (which is an extra) requires you to have the ap. Just as Victron does or, for example, my old Morningstar required the software for anything beyond what the GUI provided. The Bateria is easy to setup and use without any software at all and more so than the older units I have.
beautiful ;O) greetings from Denmark
Thank you very much! and Greetings! Hope all is well! (by the way, I'd love to visit Denmark some day!).
Tiny Screw Syndrome!!! Right!!!! LOL!!!!!. I'm a 57 model so I got a extendable magnet in my Pen pocket, EDC! Good content as usual!

A 14 year Temporary Install sounds pretty permanent to me...! =)

@TheOldJarhead The 40 amp POWMr great second step, has upped my game. As you can imagine, I always want more!
Yup, we always want more! Though I kinda have more than I need 😉 unless I want AC 😁🤣
@TheOldJarhead blessed to have utility hook ups in humid south!
Ahhh yes down there it might be a must but the new solar powered mini splits is what I'm thinking I need :D
you are going to blow up that room now
lol nah. If they were Li-Ion then maybe but LiFePo4's are far more stable.
batteryhacker.com/can-lifepo4-batteries-catch-fire/ On a side note no battery is 100% safe but FLA's and AGM's can also be very dangerous.
i love my tristar pwm i have two of them they seem to work almost as good as my mppt i set them at 13.9 and that what they do
Morningstar makes good stuff
@@TheOldJarhead good luck on your new controller i have 4 different systems im changing over to the mppt controllers but keeping the tristars for back up they work so good i really hate to change
Luckily, I have the Tristar MPPT as backup 😉
You may not want it, but have you considered starlink portable? Take it anywhere.
As usual, great video.
Cheers !!
I do want it but can't quite afford it yet 😉
Nice one, but next time try to secure the wires properly so that the job may look nice
Thanks. Truthfully, I need to remove them, panel the walls, and then re-install cleanly 😉
Yeah, I wouldn't buy anything that requires an internet connection to operate.
It actually doesn't. You just need to install the ap, which like all things today requir3s service. Once installed it works great

Save money ... keep your old solar system ... cut the trees front of your house !!!
lol, that is still part of the plan, but this upgrade isn't maybe what you think. Once you've watched it all, let me know what you think 😉
