First off you are good enough to carry whatever bag you WANT to carry. And you can wear fitted jeans or baggy jeans, a dress or shorts. Whatever you want and carry whatever bag you like. As we get older our style changes. Maybe because of changes in our weight. Changes in our lifestyle. In our environment. That’s the amazing thing about handbags. Your bags don’t have to change cuz you added a few pounds or lost a few. I personally can’t WAIT to see which bag from The Row you picked up. And you are going to be gorgeous carrying it!!! ❤
I love watching you continue to embrace your authentic self more and more!! ❤ you get to play with looks, style, hair, etc. enjoy it! I’m 20 lbs up and stopped dyeing my hair a couple of years ago after having it red for 30 years!! I still sometimes yearn for me red hair and feel weird about my ashy brown and gray hair. But I’m also learning to embrace me just as I am.

I also learned how to embrace my natural hair texture and now I air dry regularly. Now that I’m 40+ I have stopped caring about what other people think and just live my best life in my own most comfortable style. I've found that when it's hot outside, it helps to just go b-lls out and wear the stuff that shows the jiggly parts (thighs and arms etc). If you're self conscious, the heat and discomfort of a hot day actually forces you to care less about others' opinions (cuz you're too focused on the heat) and then once you're out there with the jiggly parts jiggling in real time, you quickly realize no one actually cares or is looking or judging because *they're* all too busy worrying about if someone is secretly laughing at THEM! Wear what you love and what makes you happy, anyone paying too close attention is either secretly in love with you or is lowkey envious of you, and both those are a win lol.🖤

Great vid ! I can totally relate ! I’m 43 w a 3 year old - and also we recently moved from Detroit to Houston - so lot of changes w body and wardrobe! I’m totally a jeans girl but way too hot here and I don’t love dresses ….. I’ve been trying out linen shorts and pants ! Also I love baggy clothes paired with something tighter - like wide leg linen pants w a fitted top and crossbody bag look so cute ! Also I got my colors done 18 months ago and I love knowing and I love talking about color analysis! You are beautiful and a good mom and a good person !
Thank you so much. I have been loving linen also but it can be expensive and wrinkles so easily. I will say I prefer linen pants of denim shorts any day 🤣. Gosh girl you are going through a lot. I hope Houston feels like home soon.
You are beautiful natural! Its what you were given! But we all jusy want a little help. I have no eyebrows so i got mine microbladed. I have wispy nothings for eyelashes so i get lash extensions. I use to have straight black hair but now i have so much gray hair that i get balayage to blend the grays in. We all evolve over the years so its quite ok to try new things. Dont let anyone else tell you otherwise. I believe in aging gracefully. I look back at my old photos, jango jeans... 😂
My growth is really slow too Melissa, I think it is the time of year. I have even lost subs, it's weird but hopefully things will pick up soon. Don't ;et anyone make you feel bag about anything you love because you are worthy. I am a grandma and I wear my hippie stuff and groove it haha I wear classics, casual, athletics and whatever I love or feel at the time. I even wear flowers in my hair sometimes haha YOu are beautiful in everything you wear!
@@MelissaAdams-Wade Thank you Melissa!!! Not too bad for an old gramma!! Seriously beautiful message you are sending to your girls and you would look great in anything!! I do admire your candidness and style!!
I have mixed feelings about this, having a young daughter (and a son) myself. I feel the best thing we can model is being our best selves, whatever that means - there are other factors that will influence body image beyond their immediate family. What I hope I can convey is that I take care of myself (and others), I do what I can to be happy and if, or when, I am not it is still ok, and I am loved no matter what.
Maybe we are all a little dissatisfied with things about our bodies. I am 5’3” and also love a lot of the same styles that you mentioned but I don’t feel like they look good on me….i think they look better on taller people 🤪. Finding those baggy or wide leg pants for a petite that fit well can be challenging!
It’s so hard to not compare. Whether we are comparing our today to the past or another person. At any size or stage everything in that moment wasn’t fabulous either just maybe different don’t give up on finding your peace in each season.
Pay your friend no mind (sounds like a hater IMO). Your collection is amazing & super classic & it’s your money & choice. You don’t need anyone’s approval or agreement for anything you buy. If they don’t have anything nice to say, maybe don’t say anything at all 😅
We need to switch bodies 😭 No- At the end of the day, we’ve just got to work with what we’ve got 😊 it’s so funny hearing someone say the opposite of what I’ve said for years: I wish I had hips and curves, a tiny waist and more feminine silhouette so I can fit into those dresses and blah blah. No one is perfect and there will always be something we want to change. Do what makes you feel good because life is too short to be consumed with anything but that.
Embrace yourself! Seems like you are at a similar journey as I was! l have an hourglass figure, I am very curvy and I thought I have to wear wide feminine dresses! I loved them at the time but style changes. I love the look of the Row and other similar brands. I learned that I feel the most as myself in a more minimal, almost masculine look. I stopped dying my very curly hair years ago and now they are almost white. Curly hair , hourglass figure balanced out with neutral minimal classic outfits, mostly oversized (size 16/18) Go for what you like no matter what other say!
I subscribed, I think you’re lovely even though I don’t agree we have to go “all natural” to be beautiful… enhancements just need to be complimentary to your natural features AND make you feel good. If they don’t, then sure move on from them. Really good extensions, hair color, filler, Botox, etc usually is subtle and people hardly notice… and btw I’m new here and didn’t see your previous look so I’m not commenting on your previous choices. I just think it’s a very personal thing. Also you should wear what you want and carry what you want, if it makes you happy and makes you feel good. And, incidentally your natural hair color is beautiful. Edited to add: good luck with your subscriber goals 🎉
I totally agree. I want to go all natural because I never have as an adult. I want to see how I feel natural before I make any changes to myself. I don’t think that people need to be or even should be all natural. People need to do what makes them feel best no matter what that may be. Thank you so much for subscribing. I really appreciate it 🤍🤍
Firstly I think you are beautiful! And I love your natural hair but there’s nothing wrong with playing with it and changing it if you want to. we all have the right to want to be a certain size and to try to achieve that if we are more comfortable at that size, as long as it is at a healthy level. Meaning we get there through natural healthy eating and movement and adequate food intake. I think your style actually looks good on someone without any curves, and tall, not on petites. I am petite and I get swallowed up by large baggy things. But that doesn’t mean I can’t wear one baggy item. Just not everything. And it doesn’t mean you can’t wear what you want. And our style evolves and changes as time goes by. It should because we evolve. I just watched a video by a color analyst and stylist named Merriam,(the channel is Merriam style). She talked about this exact topic about dressing like our dream selves (she doesn’t like the term fantasy self as she believes it’s invalidating and I agree), and incorporating elements of that style in our wardrobes. Another stylist who believes that in a major way is Christie Ressel. She has a lot of old you tube videos and is on IG now. You should definitely incorporate what you love into your daily wardrobe and you can wear any bag you like! I have a few different bag styles. They dont all look the same. How boring! And I love your muted color palette. Whoever told you that you can’t wear it I think was not correct. you have low contrast coloring and muted colors look great on that coloring. We should be able to play around with our style and I corporate what we love into our daily lives.
Thank you. I completely agree. I’ve been going to the gym and watching my portion sizes. That alone has made me feel better even though I haven’t lost any weight. I’m not actively trying to loose weight. I want to focus on healthy habits first. I’ll have to check out both of those RUclips’s. Thank you for mentioning them 🤍🤍.
I think lip fillers look horrible on everyone. People look like "puffer fish". I am glad you decided to stop using them. As to the diet: I cut out sugar and bread from my diet. I also eat only real food (the food that does not come in a box). I eat everything else and I have lost a lot of weight and I don't need to diet. I recommend you try it. Women are never satisficed with the way they look. In college I had a friend who was a catalog model and all she did was complain about her looks.
I definitely have my up days and my down days. Today’s video was based on how the comment my friend made, made me feel like i wasn’t good enough to wear The Row. When I dug deeper into why I felt that way it was because of the insecurities I felt that I discussed in the video. I definitely need to cut out sugar and bread. Bread is a big one for me.
Your bags are a fun collection of classic styles in fun colors so that is your thing! But that shouldn’t back you into a corner from being able to get classic styles in classic colors
Our style changes as we move through the phases of our lives. You wont want to dress and look the same when you are 45 or 55. Embrace your current self and style accordingly.
I understand everything you are saying. I’m wearing clothes for my body and current weight gain. I will wear my true style once I get back down to the weight I prefer to be. Also my style I has changed several times and I’m ok with that. Tfs
My style is always changing but the one thing that’s stands true is I love to mix classic pieces with trendy pieces. I’ve always loved the unexpected in an outfit.
I have not. I have never cared what others thought of my appearance. Everyone will always have an opinion, sometimes it’s best just to not discuss it with anyone and do what makes you happy.
…And thus the reason I don’t have any friends 😂 I have them from afar 😊 I’m 50 and retired. I no longer have anywhere to carry my luxury & fancy bags unless I carry them to Costco or Wal-Mart. 🤭 Yes I’m a little heavier than I’d prefer to be but hey I’m living my best life & will eventually hit the gym when I’m good & ready! @@MelissaAdams-Wade no ma’am it’s all relative we all have these issues I just wanted you to know that we all feel this way 💚💚💚
You’re gorgeous!!! But I agree the weight gain always gets to our conscience.. whatever you do tho, you’re still beautiful ❤
@@baddcheeta. thank you
You are beautiful natural! 😂
🤣 Evolving is usually fun for me, this year I can’t say that! I’ll get to a good spot eventually
You look beautiful ❤️ Greets from Vienna ☺️
@@yamunahme thank you so much
My growth is really slow too Melissa, I think it is the time of year.
@@YotaStyle Thank you Yota. You are beautiful also. I love your style. It’s so much fun.
@@ilariama82 absolutely. Healthy and happy is always the priority.
@@pholtlux_749 right! We all have our challenges for sure.
It’s so hard to not compare. Whether we are comparing our today to the past or another person. At any size or stage everything in that moment wasn’t fabulous either just maybe different don’t give up on finding your peace in each season.
@@aliluck3903 I love that. Thank you 😊
Pay your friend no mind (sounds like a hater IMO). Your collection is amazing & super classic & it’s your money & choice. You don’t need anyone’s approval or agreement for anything you buy. If they don’t have anything nice to say, maybe don’t say anything at all 😅
😂🤣 That’s what I was taught too
We need to switch bodies 😭
No- At the end of the day, we’ve just got to work with what we’ve got 😊 it’s so funny hearing someone say the opposite of what I’ve said for years: I wish I had hips and curves, a tiny waist and more feminine silhouette so I can fit into those dresses and blah blah.
I think that is great. Do you have an instagram? I’d love to fallow you.
@@MelissaAdams-Wade I have RUclips and Instagram but I’m very lazy with posting outfits ☺️

@@MelissaAdams-Wade thanks ☺️
Absolutely, every collection needs a good simple classic in my opinion.
Our style changes as we move through the phases of our lives. You wont want to dress and look the same when you are 45 or 55. Embrace your current self and style accordingly.
Definitely. That’s what makes style so much fun
Have you shown the bag yet. Would love to see.
No I haven’t. I ordered it online, it came in the mail yesterday 🤗. I’m looking forward to filming a video on it this weekend.
@@MelissaAdams-Wade oh ok awesome. No matter anyone’s style. Everyone deserves and should buy a bag they like. Period!!!! ❤️

You keep saying you gained weight. Where? Your pinky ? Lol. Can't wait to see what you bought.
@@Jploveslv lol girl I’ve gained 30lbs in the last 3 years
Have you ever been made to feel as though a bag or brand is not for you? It’s a shitty feeling.
You do you! ❤️
