Anthony is kind of right about kids. They are a financial burden, they can grow up with disabilities, become criminals/drug addicts, or even just die in a car crash (now you have to carry around that loss). There is no guarantee they're going to take care of you when you get older either. Having kids is really a gamble.
Anthony's rationale for not wanting kids is definitely reverse engineered. He started from "I don't want kids" and cherrypicked the worst things and catastrophized them into being guarantees. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with not wanting kids, but its one thing to rationally think "okay I dont want to invest the time in doing that and I don't like kids I might be a bad father so I won't", it's another thing to have such audible contempt for the concept of being a father. I don't think it's as straightforward as "he's scared of having children", but his complete disgust at the idea is based on apprehension and anxiety.
Growing up. My mother was my birth control. She always told me don't have kids. Enjoy your life. Enjoy your freedom. She said, once you have kids your death starts. If a doctor told me I couldn't get pregnant. I would throw a party. I agree with Anthony 100% on this having kids issue.
