Alex=Goku, and Izzy=Vegeta, is like Goku and Vegeta's rivalry to a T. Goku=Alex.. can probably do more damage, and beat bigger men, and has a talented style all his own. Vegeta=Izzy, always fought his very best against Goku, and always gave Goku all he could handle while within the same form and at times (most recently in fact) Vegeta beat Goku in a hard sparring match just like Izzy knocking down Alex the last time they fought. They are the closest rivalry to Goku and Vegeta we may ever have in our lifetime, and the anime's history, and their history is almost exact. Alex is bigger, and a little stronger, and no one can mimic his style.... but Izzy has amazing skills, speed, and timing, with a Bruce Lee effect at times... and won't quit. Izzy is a very hard puzzle to solve if you don't land something solid on him, and has taught many fighters the art of MMA inside the octagon... just like Vegeta and his fighting principles, and near perfect attacks, and counters to Goku. Vegeta may can't put Jiren down, but his pride and determination to beat Goku always made Vegeta fight more aggressive and mean when he fought against Goku. Vegeta has always been a very hard puzzle for Goku to tame when they fought even when Goku had clear advantages in power, Vegeta could still make a good fight out of it and in the "same form" could win. It's "same form" for Goku and Vegeta.... "same weight" for Alex and Izzy. Whenever either fights each other you will always see the best of BOTH fighters to the end.
    I thought it was a good analogy anyways..lol 🤷‍♂ Goku=Alex Izzy=Vegeta
I cannot wait to see these 2 fight one more time, full camp for both, and bad spirits dead, just skills and competition for one last ride. Alex has more wins on Izzy, but they are "TRULY" evenly matched. Their great rivalry is a beautiful thing to see in MMA. Look at Alex's corner whenever he fights Izzy....Alex always has a ton to say when he's fighting Izzy between rounds...all his other fights he don't say much so that should tell you what he thinks of Izzy's feints/jabs/kicks/footwork/counters, and overall skills. (Alex should have learned his lesson about Izzy's overhand right from their first UFC fight but he did not..lol) Izzy has tremendous Middle Weight Power in his right hand, I have no doubt if he gained muscle density the right way to Light Heavyweight and not just stack water pounds on that Izzy's righthand can do the same at Light Heavyweight rosters.
Each of them know 100% that the other is supremely dangerous, and each go for the kill when they fight. Izzy VS Alex is the best matchup I think the UFC can make currently. Hopefully they fight one more time when both are satisfied with their careers and both just want to give the fans something truly epic before they each retire. It would be a beautiful thing if both men retired the same night after a hard fight in a few more years and bury the rivalry forever and become close friends. I think Izzy should team up with Glover, and Alex after retirement and all 3 of them open a MMA school together. That MMA school would be the next best thing to living in Dagestan with those 3 coaching it. Striking MASTERCLASSES from Alex and Izzy, while former Champ Glover shows the student how to submit people and wrestle. TEAM SYNERGY..LOL... I would love to see Alex and Izzy fight once more at a catch weight of 195lbs - (EASY WEIGHT CUT), FOR THE FANS, within the next few years. Can I get a HELL YEAH???
