Peter was the most powerful Heroes character and then they ruined it by changing his powers to where he can only absorb one at a time. That's when the show really started to go downhill.
2020; I liked. I mean, it should have been that way from the start. It turns out that he was becoming too powerful and making the other heroes half useless. And it only got worse because the writers left him overpowered but at the same time they did not exploit his potential which was frustrating. But that doesn't change the fact that Peter and Matt Parkman were my favorite heroes.
Nah, preferred it that way. That was Faaar from what brought the show's quality down. I think they just panicked. Heroes was a huge smash and they had a hard time following up the season without making it seem so repetitive
Season 1. Then just go straight to Season 5. The interim just gets nasty. I always felt like the writer's strike really fucked that show. Season 1 was something like 23 episodes. Season 2, 3, and 4 were half that.

I think that Niki's second personality is actually her twin sister that was killed by their alcoholic violent father. During the show they say that her twin sister died to protect Niki from her father, she (the other twin) had a very prone to violence personality, she was the one that always fought back and always did whatever it was necessary, so I really believe that Jessica's soul/mind traveled to her sister's body in order to survive.

Come on, who doesn't love that?? And unlike most mentors, he doesn't die! Instead, he keeps making the same mistakes and he comes off as incapable of development. At least, that's the sense I have of him from Seasons 2-4. How many times do I have to sit through this "I love my family" as a defining character trait and story arc? Show me more of him in the house with Claire, teaching her how to kill someone with a bat.
I absolutely agree with this list. Hiro is the most important character and has the best personality. Tho Peter can absorb his power. He becomes less enjoyable after he loses them. Sylar should be #1 on this top ten list. His character was strong, complex, very interesting to follow and made him one of the best villains over the past decade in TV series. I've seen Heroes Reborn and it's not up to the same level as the original series. Even though Tim Kring's aim was not to produce a sequel but a stand-alone project, in my point of view the bar is considerably lower.
Hiro's name wasn't for the show, it was explained on the comics the show was based on. His name is short for hiroshima, a living memorial for those who died during the bombing in hiroshima

After watching the first 8, I had a feeling that Hiro would be 1. Also, quote from WatchMojo in case you haven't read the description: "For this list, we've ranked the best characters in the NBC sci-fi drama series based on their importance to the series and their status as fan favourites."
The fact that each hero has his/her own, unique ability is one of the best parts of the show. Every time a character shows up who can copy it the person who originally was the only one having it becomes less interesting. That's why I never liked Peter - his power was not having an innate ability like the others - any power he ever had came from someone else. Sylar was amazing, since claiming powers was a part of his goal. And Zachary Quinto was incredible.
I am glad that Samuel and Emma were at least mentioned, though I wish they had been introduced before the writer strike so their characters would have been developed better.

I think it's because his power was a bit too op. Claire was also one of the best but I absolutely hate that they killed her off in reborn. Matt started to annoy me after a few seasons. And Emma was agreeably a inspirational character. Representing those with disabilities. Her power was beautiful.

Sylar should be #1 on this top ten list. His character was strong, complex, very interesting to follow and made him one of the best villains over the past decade in TV series. I've seen Heroes Reborn and it's not up to the same level as the original series. Even though Tim Kring's aim was not to produce a sequel but a stand-alone project, in my point of view the bar is considerably lower.
Sylar, Peter and Hero were definitely my favorite characters!

After watching the first 8, I had a feeling that Hiro would be 1. Also, quote from WatchMojo in case you haven't read the description: "For this list, we've ranked the best characters in the NBC sci-fi drama series based on their importance to the series and their status as fan favourites."
The fact that each hero has his/her own, unique ability is one of the best parts of the show.
Every time a character shows up who can copy it the person who originally was the only
one having it becomes less interesting. That's why I never liked Peter - his power was not
having an innate ability like the others - any power he ever had came from someone else.
Sylar was amazing, since claiming powers was a part of his goal. And Zachary Quinto was incredible.
Peter's power wasn't just to absorb others powers it was also his empathy that was what he used to learn how to control each ability.
