This video mainly focuses on reviewing the EC2-CW over the G-SR-SE as I didn't feel like there was anything that new compared to the og G-SR-SE Rouge. I'll be giving the G-SR-SE a deeper look in the future in my video covering my top 3 favorite control pads of 2023
Nice review Skate, I love my Zowie mice, the EC1-CW is the mouse that stopped me fingertip gripping and made me relaxed claw/palm. The shape is perfect for a comfortable grip style, the Vaxee NP01s is a more active/engaged grip style if that makes sense? I'm excited to see how the Vaxee AX competes with the EC2-CW later this year 🙌
its definitely going to be really close but vaxee will probably close it out considering the number of small details and areas that the EC2-CW can be improved in.
Little tip, try and get more light into your videos you've got some compression artifacts which makes the videos look way less professional. And shoot at a wider apeture if you can
Zowie is a few years behind and their products are not up to date. However, we have to accept that they have a fanbase that wants and celebrates the products. And that's where the biggest criticism of Zowie comes in. Instead of rewarding this fanbase, they are milked. Whether it's their mice, mouse pads or monitors, the products are massively overpriced. There was an outcry regarding the price of the latest mice, but this is even worse for the monitors and especially the mouse pads. You say 35$ is a fair price. I say for 45€ I get bigger pads with a higher quality surface and base, very good stitching, longer durability and as a bonus even better packaged. And we're not even talking about the much lower manufacturing costs of the Zowie mouse pads. Zowie doesn't have to follow every trend as long as their target group doesn't demand it anyway, but the price should be accordingly.
I don't really understand your price rant. $35 is a fair price for this pad as it is still competitive and comparable with higher quality, cheaper pads like InfinityMice. If you would rather spend ~$55 on a better pad, go for it. ZOWIE clearly makes products for a specific group of people at a specific price point, and that is ok.
I'm just amazed at how often Zowie's pricing on their mice is criticized while it's hardly an issue with the rest of their products. I also think it's a shame that Zowie doesn't seem to have the motivation to innovate and push development. Meanwhile, they are also unwilling to offer their products to the masses, people who are often unaware of the alternatives, at reasonable prices. The pricing does not match what is offered. You could call 25-27€ a fair price. Even at 20€ they would still make more profit per pad than most of the competition on the market. If I can get a Rizz, Smooth Criminal, Pulsar ES2, Ninjutso NPC, a non Pro LGG Pad or even a Dornfinger Pad for 45€ or even less, it's hard for me to call the price for a G-SR-SE fair. It's a solid pad that could cost significantly less. In other words, if you call a G-SR-SE fairly priced, you'd almost have to call an EC2-CW a must buy in terms of price/performance.
@@karl.Kolerika im convinced you didnt watch the video and dont know that 27€ is just under $35 USD. if you have an issue with zowie products, then dont buy from them. while some fair critisisms, you're probably not the target audience.
@@skte In short, simply converting Euros into Dollars or vice versa is not enough here. Prices vary depending on the market. I know that 35 US Dollars is not 45 Euros. But 45€ is the price in Europe. And that's why I compared it with equally expensive or even cheaper to get pads. And because of this comparison, I raised the question why 45€ should be a "fair" price. Especially since you have criticized the price of the mouse yourself. Which in relation to the price of the pad could even be described as fair. Btw. I have also seen the review in full and found it interesting. Especially since it was also a good comparison of pros and cons concerning the EC2-CW. This made the classification of the mouse pad price as "really really good" all the more irritating. But no matter, we are simply of a different opinion. Have fun and success with your upcoming reviews.
To me zowie mice has been outdated for years, they have fallen way behind, even with there latest updates, but that is just my opinion! Like i have been wanting to see a updated FK2 at around 50-60grams, new sensor, wireless, and just a tad shorter ect.! Glorious has almost done it but not exact 1 to 1! Now i have settled with the Lamzu atlantis mini🙂
@@KR_10 I keep seeing people say glorious makes bad mice/products, have bad qc. I'm not saying this is not true! But personally I have never had any issues with there mice, except for the very first wired model o minus cable, that they did correct!
imo glorious has always been mid especially compared to the number of better products out there. my atlantis is alright but im just not a huge fan of the shape.
People played better on 500Mhz then many Gen Z players right now with their super duper 4-8k dongles. There is no reason in having 4-8x more response from the mouse which kills your battery faster. You should thank Benq Zowie for not dowing that and not spending your money

Actually just got clickbaited so hard thinking they released a wireless ZA but it's just on a mouse released half a year ago

I have an EC1 Divina and am looking to replace it because i CAN'T PALM GRIP IT.
Interesting, what made you want to stop fingertip gripping it?

Thanks for the tip but I'm extremely limited by my old camera body/lens which is the primary reason for the artifacts.
Cool mouse, but I ended up swapping my ec2 out for a xlite wireless v2 mini. Basically the same shape, lighter and 1/3 the price
All preference.

Complaining about any brand then talking up glorious is wild..... Every single thing I've used from glorious has been crap. Lamzu is great tho.
