If it wasn't for his shoulder injuries that cut short his career, he would be a first-ballot HOF'er, no doubt.

@@plootoisaplanet Also he got robbed from a third Cy Young in 2005, I'm sure that with the 3 Cy Youngs, 137 ERA+ Career and 51 WAR career he should be in the HoF.

He should have 3 Cy Young Awards bc he was robbed in 2005. If he had that 3rd, not only would he have stayed on the ballot, he might have gotten in on the 1st or 2nd try. He still belongs IMO.

We'll never have a home-field advantage that good again, that's for sure. The stadium might've been a dump, but it was OUR dump, and we knew how to win in it.

Fun fact. Johan Santana and Jesse Orosco were once teammates. Orosco was 46 at the time, finishing up his career with the twins when johan was a rookie and pitching mostly out of the bullpen

You have to wonder if the no-no was worth it. Can't imagine throwing 130 pitches was good for him at that point in his career. I wonder if it exacerbated any existing problems he had.
