Thanks for the review. Here's my take on what you had to say. You saved me from considering the Gearwrench which I was leaning toward. What you showed about the collar made me eliminate both them and Capri that I had also considered, as a rule Capri is pretty good. It seems to me that if you have enough room for that huge gaudy collar, you could probably use a regular socket. I'm just a DIY guy that wouldn't use them enough to justify the Snap On but there have been a couple of times recently that I wish that I had 1/4" universal socket. As you said not a lot of companies make them. I usually buy Icon or Tekton but neither make them and after your review, I would only consider them if they were the pinless style without a huge collar. You helped me decide, actually made it obvious what I should buy. Thank you.
Cornwell seems to the best in price for USA & completeness especially when on sale..I have Snap on , ADV & Cornwell..I like them all , each seems to have various differences that could make a difference in situations..sweet deal on the Sunex for sure..
Agree with you 100% about the Gearwrench x-core and their pinned universal sockets. I bought the 3/8” Gearwrench x-core set, used the 14mm one time and deformed one of the legs on the x-core and it would always catch on that spot so I got ride of them and bought a set of Sunex. Haven’t had any issue with the Sunex. I didn’t learn my lesson with Gearwrench the first time so I bought a 1/2” drive pinned universal set, used the 22mm on some suspension bolts and deformed the slot where the pin goes through and it would also catch. Sold those and bought an Icon set. Haven’t used them yet so not sure how they’ll hold up.
@@andrewm.upchurch5567 I have a 1/4" electric ratchet for time savings... works great with all my 1/4" chrome sockets. I just have never encountered a fastener smaller than 13mm that required an impact 🤷♀️
The fact that Snap-on sells you only 6 piece set for that price is madness. 😤
I got the 1/4 10 alone and its awesome. Super tiny compared to how massive the fuckin 3/8s are
Would you pick universal or semi deep sockets if u had to pick

It's crazy how expensive the 1/4" universals are(impact and chrome) i'd suggest getting the proto or cornwell sets
I have both those also in 3/8&1/2” Cornwell , Mac , matco older also adv , gearwrench and icon and honestly use my sunex most . Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching bro!

Ya cant go wrong with either set. Thanks for watching bro!
I've been a professional mechanic for nearly 30 years and I've never felt the need to own any 1/4" impacts, swivel or otherwise 🤷♀️
Mate they save me so much time over hand tools

Ya but I bet if you had them you'd love them
I don’t believe that shit
What’s the part number on the craftsman?
Are all those 1/4” for Sunex? What is part # for the set?
