No, thank you for covering one of my favourite bands in such a precise way. We can no longer see Genesis perform these works of art, so it's down to fantastic musicians like yourselves to keep this genre on the pedestal it deserves.
The flawless Grand Piano intro had me transfixed already. And then the flute came in and I was totally bowled over! The guitar solo possibly borrows more from Stuermer than Hackett, but that's fine too. It is live. THANKS HEAPS for keeping this wonderful music alive. PS: Loved the phaser on the GP outro - and the missing last note!
Thanks for this wonderful performance of one of the best and complex songs of Genesis. Very glad a new generation takes over with its music. Bonne chance!
Fantastic job on what is one of the best prog songs ever written. I think Tony Banks was 21 when he wrote this. Please keep up the excellent work on Genesis songs!
Amazing accuracy! Very articulate! The band played it with passion too, enjoying at the same time. Some time problem at 5:30 and 7:35 but thats just gave the live feeling some edge maybe. Superb!
The vocalist picks up the voices characters very well. I picked up this album when i was 19 without listening ( Stores did not open and play the contents in Japan.)
BRAVO ! 👏👏👏
It was a great time to be a teenage boy discovering music. Knebworth Festival in the UK 1978. The day started with Phil playing drums with Brand X in a muddy field at 9.30am. He put in a long day
Afterglow is 1 of my favourite Genesis tracks...you guys nailed it...looking forward to many more of your tributes...perhaps you could do some tracks off a trick of a tail,And then there were three and duke...3 of my favourite Genesis albums ❤
Thanks a lot. Check out our others videos on our page, you'll find some Duke's stuffs, and of course, we'll play some of the songs of The tail, live... ;-)
Cap?
need the drum toms to crackle through... they quietly thud in the background. Plus more of a piccolo snare. Better mics on the drums. My two cents. @5:10 all those unique crackly drum breaks need to really cut through the sound wash. Brilliant playing and thank God you have reverted to using real grand piano... why Tony Banks went off with squelchy synths i'll never know... infinitely better with real piano. Hats off guys. You da biz
Great energy - only missing some mature vibrato on flute solo - Leslie on organ adds depth missing in original. Bravo! Drummer is bang on and really drives the band. I agree, guitar solo owes more to Steumer’s approach than a young Hackett but that’s good, too! Looking forward to exploring more of your G covers.
Thanks David for your comment ! Yeah I'm not that great of a flute player, love the instrument but I definitely need to work more on it, which is always a problem when you're a multi-instrumentalist : difficult to choose and make time for what you want to work on vs what you need to haha
Philologically perfect. Bass deserve more camera. What sense for the classic guitar? Drums and keyboards very correct. Electric guitar in the middle between Hackett and Stuermer. HRH Prince Guglielmo Rinaldini
excellent, really well played. just one thing: a powerful and sustained bass note in the Hacket solo is a real stroke of genius by Rutherford! here the bass is too "played"
thanks for the comment ! In a former prog band I was playing in we used to have a Moog taurus controller and I could play the powerful sustained bass notes on it with my feet like in the original while playing the bass, here I developped some parts during the solo to match the drum accents cause I felt it sounded more powerful, but it's always a matter of personal taste anyway ; I think though as I played mostly the written bass part on the rest of the track I could indulge myself some more personal feeling and interpretation to make it our own and lock in with the drummer
Good stuff! Keep up the good work! My absolute favorite Genesis composition!
Never tire of this Genesis piece and this is beautifully played.
One can never appreciate this wonderful composition enough - my deep admiration to the fantastic artists who keep these cultural monuments alive.
😍, very nice comment, Thomas. Thank you so much.

Thank you. Maybe someday, for The Cinemashow. ;-)
Absolutely great pleasure. To hear you guys nail it!!!!!
Merci beaucoup. That's really sweet.
Why does this piece of music always stir such emotion I could cry?..
😲... music is emotion. Thanks for your post.

Thanks for this wonderful performance of one of the best and complex songs of Genesis.
Very glad a new generation takes over with its music.
Bonne chance!
Thanks a lot... We are not really from "the new generation", except for the guitar player, but we look younger than we really are. ;-)
Bravo les boys, excellent cover!

Indeed, 21 : that's crazy ! Thanks a lot for your comment.
Excellent 10/10
Merci beaucoup.
I loved how you played it. There's always a piece of your own style hearable , the Guitar is wild as the young Hackett was when he created it. Bravo.
Thank you so much !
Bloody marvellous that chaps. Great job.
Thanks a lot.
Wow. great job...and that bass is beautiful

Best Genesis cover band ever :)
Not true, but thank you. ❤
Superbe reprise
merci beaucoup.

Merci.
Yay...now I can I finally hear what Mike Rutherford was playing!!
Not sure it is exactly the same bass line, but should be close. ;-)
I played mostly the written bass line but I improvised a bit on some parts like in the guitar solo
When you tour the UK please play Nottingham!
We would love to !
Beau boulot! Mike Rutherford?
Merci beaucoup. Oui, Rutherford.
Please do Deep in the Motherlode :)
Why not... we'll think about it.

Maybe the cymbals need to be higher in the mix, or maybe I'm a bit deaf 45 years after hearing the original for the first time.
Maybe both.... 🤣
Tony Banks does not use fast Leslie
Excelent work, congrats!!!
Well done!
Thanks.
