      For sure! I’m a born and bred NYer and outsiders only think about Manhattan and Long Island when you mention the state. Meanwhile, the 5 boroughs and the island represent a fraction of the state. Me having grown up here, I still find it crazy how large the state it. Like we border with Canada yet people only think about the very bottom right corner of the place lmao

    I grew up in CT and moved to Central NY for college 5 years ago. I went to college in Oneonta. I discovered my interest for trains, antiques, and historic places. Some of my favorite memories of college involve waking up at four in the morning to the freight train whistling down the hill. I remember the roundhouse chimney that was still standing despite the roundhouse being demolished in the mid 1990s. I would have loved to see the roundhouse in action. What i would give to walk around that town in the early 1900s.

The 2nd you MUST explore is Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Tarrytown. You can literally feel the history as soon as you walk through the huge iron gates. It IS the setting of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and it’s author’s final resting place. Enjoy!

    The ghosts at Buffalo Central Terminal could the ghosts of people killed in various train wrecks on the New York Central Railroad over the years.
    One wreck is from April 19, 1940 in Little Falls when a Buffalo bound train crashed on sharp curve in which 30 people were killed including the train engineer named Jesse Earl he could be the Phantom railroad employee spotted wandering the building and the Lady in White could another 1940 wreck victim as well and the ghostly train whistle could be of the old Steam Locomotive that pulled the tragic train !
    The second wreck took place in Conneaut, OH on March 27, 1953 when several trains all crashed into each other and 21 people were killed and the railway man ghost and the sad lady in white ghost could actually be from that wreck since at one of passenger trains probably had been in Buffalo or was going to New York State.
    Also 150 homes had be removed in the 1920’s in order for the Station to be built and the ghosts might be associated with the long gone buildings and not train related at all, and some the ghosts be could also Military related too especially from World War 2 or the might be related something else entirely.

    Upstate NY is a lot like NH. The real stories that haunt one are the stories the rural people pass on for generations. Usually involving the woodlands. Not an urban setting. Anyone who has ever dared gone camping alone knows. Just a few yards off a back road is a reality reminding experience. That nature in darkness is scary as a spider dangling in your face from a ceiling. At all times. Point is one has to stay on guard. Not because you have to expect the unexpected from people. But expect the unexpected from every living thing.

    On a different note, Letchworth State Park is in a completely different part of New York and is considered the Grand Canyon of the Northeast. My father was one of the members of the Army Corp of Engineers who built the dam in the Genesee River that cuts through the park. Every time me and my family visited my grandparents, we would drive through the park and check out the dam...

      Thanks for checking out this upload @DeliverUsSomeEvilPodcast. We know there are a TON of haunted places in New York and are always thankful for suggestions from our listeners about locations we can look into for future releases. Can you tell us a bit about the Crandall House?

    • @DeliverUsSomeEvilPodcast
      @DeliverUsSomeEvilPodcast 25 дней назад

      @FrightNightScares yeah we did an episode on it so feel free to look into the episode on any podcasting platform the names the same as my handle but the short and skinny of it is: it was a house built by a failed business man for his wife. They constantly fought over money and he ended up shooting her and a few others in the house before killing himself. The house stands how it stood back then. In fact it was right in front of my elementary school. At night you can see ghosts wandering around and I've actually seen the attic light on at night.
