Many thanks for this very precise demonstration of the Pinan Nidan kate. I gained my first Dan back in1995, carried on training for my 2nd Dan but had a very serious accident at work in 2002. This left me disabled with various issues and therefore ended my training. Now after all these years my Grandson has asked me to help train him in Wada. I can remember all the moves but am limited as to what I can demonstrate for him. Your video clip is a big help as I needed my memory refreshed on this particular Kata. Thanks again.
Thanks Neil , I have been out of the game for over 30 years and have had both knees replaced so am a bit limited in movement. I am training 2 11 year olds for their club gradings and viewing you doing the Pinan katas , especially in slow mo , has really helped me remember them myself and also to show them on this channel the pauses and transitions into the next stance, top class. I am dreading when they get to Kushanku. Karate do.
Thanks for this. Recently moved to karate after 10 years in kickboxing and reignited my passion again, unluckily lockdown hit. These videos are giving me something to train until I can return to shokukai.
Go for it when you feel ready! There's no shame in stopping and no harm in trying it again :) I trained for 7 years and gained my junior 1st Dan grade aged 12, but quit about 9 years ago. I cannot afford lessons but am slowly stretching and practicing what i remember at home using books and videos like these. Good luck in your journey if you decide to take it up again or if you already have!
My first kata! Have never forgotten it!

They should make a movie about your story brother. I hope he can help keep the art alive in your family ✨

This is excellent, exactly what I've been looking for to help my 5 year old daughter learn this kata. Thank you.
Cheers boss, I have severe memory problems, this is helping me.
Thank you- this really helped my son (age 6!) practice this kata. Brilliant to see it first in slow motion then at full speed.

This is one of the better demo's on here.
A well worthwhile post.
I remember learning this when I was 12, got to my yellow belt then quit 😢 thinking of starting up again.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME FOR PI NAN NIDAN😄😄😄 and I'm a orange belt🤣🤣
great thanks , just getting back into it after 28 years ,,
This is good for purple belt wado ryu?
I was doing my karate session the other day and our sensai showed us this video so i decided to watch this at home. (Neil is not my sensei)
Very good technique, excellent example of the Wado form.
Is this version the same as Shito Ryu’s versión?
The way it's taught in Tn, it's watered down Shotokan
Thank you for sharing.
I do this for my yellow belt kata but I do chojinkai karate 🥋
This is very good. You only forgot to yell second time "Kia" in the first slow version.
You don't yell "kiai" when you kiai! 🤣
Thanks you I’m taking black. Belt soon thi helped
Wado PINASHODAN
You misses the double head block dude
Sorry for last comment when I spelled wrong I meant Neil you're a life saver
this looks very similar to Heian Shodan from the Shotokan system.
AmonRa that’s because wado ryu takes a little inspiration from shotokan
merci
You saved my cousins butt again!Neil you're a life saver
Hope your junzuki stances have improved in the meantime
lol, i did this with kumite, enemies involved ...quite something
What is happening
I meant Neil that you were a life saver.
I agree Niki.
Your shomen neko ashi stances at the end are way off.

Seems Michael Jackson...
Best video of pinan nidan
Why is is so slow ?
Good demonstration, but your technique could be better for a Dan grade.
I fucked up lol
Какая лажа, а не ката.
I can do it better! No power no pauses no technique! Ew
Ik kyokushin this is the first kata ...
