It’s finally here…
It took about 3 months (on and off), but finishing this was worth it. I’ll be posting speed animations soon :)
I hope this is up to par with the original comic. I tried my best with my understanding of it lol. Lemme know what you guys think!

I didn't even get a chance to live my life the way I might have wanted to. All of you had the ability to make decisions in order to change your lives and impact the world around you as a whole for the better. I had free will, individuality, a chance to enjoy and explore the world with my only friend (who's literally part of me), for a grand total of *ONE. MINUTE.*
(Seriously, tho, Agate ruined Betty's life just as much as she did Amber's and Copper's, all because she refused to be a graceful loser or admit that her brother might have a point about harmony between the races. So it really confuses me when everyone says that Betty and Agate are the exact same person - explain this comic, then?... What upsets me is that Betty will almost certainly die the eternally-despised villain, having completely forgotten the person she used to be.could have been. Nobody in-universe or out will see her as anything other than a rabid psycho sadist that had no redeeming qualities. Nobody will mourn her for the person she could have been. As a conclusion, the only reason I'm "excited" to see her die is because it means Agate (and possibly HATE) will finally die permanently, too, so she can stop ruining the lives of everyone.)
(That aside, I'm glad you put this animation out, it's fantastic, your art style is getting better and better, and I hope Cami will see this eventually! It'd be great if she gives it some love and attention, that way she'd be able to recommend others to check it out and fill in the missing parts of the story that aren't in her animated episodes. I know Cami herself admitted that she wished she could have done more with Betty's character in hindsight so that people wouldn't see her as "pure evil for the sake of evil", but maybe this animation would be a start!)
100% agreed! It's too sad that we won't ever get to see what betty could've been. All bc of agate's sore loser/petty ass. And thanks so much! I try to improve bit by bit. 😊

@@barbscreations8785 Interestingly enough, Cami said the comic went through a slight retcon - I'm assuming in the new version, Bete spawned as one single entity before she decided to split herself and Kumu in half. I hope she wasn't evil to begin with in the new one, I really like the layer of tragedy added to her story in the old one!

Oh, well, I kinda prefer this version anyways, it does a better job establishing Betty and Agate as separate entities rather than Betty just being "Agate reborn but in a new body" (which may or may not be the truth).

Imagine if amber's body somehow affected Betty's mind or tried to fight back.
Similar to how Johnathan's body fought back against dio in JoJo bizarre adventures.

There is one thought: if Betty Noir is not just a spell, but the result of combining Amber's Mind and Agatha's distorted soul of courage (soul of fear) (which could explain the presence of her voice, since she is still connected to her soul), then the only thing through that Amber's mind could fight back - this is the part of the mind that was closer to the past soul. However, it is unlikely that this part survived.
If my hypothesis is correct, then it is possible to perform another soul transplant (find a similar one), restoring Amber, but she will need the help of a psychologist, otherwise she will commit suicide from the realization of her atrocities.

Why do i think that somehow before Agate showed up, it wasn't just Betty acting cute but actually Amber being herself for a brief moment. She seemed really confused at first AND got afraid of Kumu which shouldn't be the case since Betty is a soul of fear and was created with sole purpose of never letting monster and humankind live in peace. She should've known that since the moment she was created but she didn't untill the spell started working.
I'm probably wrong about that but it's just a nice little theory i thought about while watching this so i thought i'd share it with you :v

This is kinda my main problem with Glitchtale: It goes against what the True Pacifist Route is all about.

Backstory:
Amber, Bete's Original Identity, was killed by her Older Sister, Agate. Amber's Body was used for The Bete Noire.
After 1,000 Years, The Bete Noire Woke.
The Bete Noire was a Good Person Before.
She woke up, saying "Where's My Brother?" Still Retaining some of Amber's Memories.
Then, She saw the barrier being broken.
Then, She saw her other soul half, Akumu.
They got along and became friends...Until.
Agate, in her soul, was conducting her to do evil deeds.
This is how The Bete Noire is Doing What It's Doing.

@@Sofia-ie9fr Agate was a villain but we dont know much about the bete noir apart from it being strong needing a host body and apparently a host soul (in this case the host body was amber's and the host soul was agates) and that it has the host souls memories aswell as it being a forbidden spell
