It's not only that, somehow the image choosen for the song works great together with the whole flow of the rythm. It's hypnotic and you get into it. I sit and stare in at the picture, even if I know this is some kind of fantasy world I can relate to it, find myself in it. Loose myself in it. It's weird but I always get very emotional and connected with this song. It's been with me on a lot of lonely study nights. It's been with me on buss travels where my days been shit. And every time, I feel a bit better about myself.

Who knew a song I was listening to back in the day would impact me so much listening to it again years later. These melodic dubstep channels were my shit while gaming, playing minecraft faction servers and other survival games with the homies. A lot of these songs we were casually playing in the background hit so hard now. It brings tears to my eyes realizing how much of the lyrics applies to us. Most of us are the idealist, with a never ending youth. This era was truly the golden age for me.

You know, I never understood that this song was about struggling with drug addiction until I listened to it on the night that I told myself I was gonna take a break. Needless to say, i didn't take that break. Rift is about addiction too. Even Alone is probably about drugs.. "I'll make you believe, you can't leave me alone" "dont recall the things I said, so I'm blaming you (the drugs) cause thats the last thing he can do" etc.
The goosebumps 🙏 this songs really paints the picture of what drug addiction is like.

I can't help but feel like EDM, and by abstraction the music industry as a whole, isn't innovating like it used to when this track came out. The sense of hope and wonder tracks like this brought out in me were directly tied to my sense of hope for humanity, and that new and exciting styles of music like this were pushing us forward as a society.
This shit has layers too. Like, RUclips was designed for video hosting on social media platforms that didn't have their own CDN. We were like "nah, this is a music streaming site now. we don't need anybody's permission to post anything on here. this is our hangout space to post and consume crazy new sounds." and so it was. It felt organic, like it was meant to be

I discovered this song last winter break (2013) and i got seperared from my family because of a lot of problems i was going through a lot of tough times then i got my phone stolen and i lost it i forgot the name and i was sad. I just found it again and im just sitting here crying because i remember where i was when i started listening to it and where I am now in life, and it makes me proud and gives me a nostalgic feeling, thank you for this amazing song. It genuinely means a lot to me.
