Noticed that the pretty baby girl looked RIGHT into the camera, no flinching, no fear, no crying? A future actress in the making...Marrying someone with children is a package deal. You love him, you accept and love his children as your own, especially at that very vulnerable, innocent age. I would have put a ring on hubby and maybe a little gold bracelet on baby girl as a sign of my commitment to both and the 3 of us would have walked down the aisle together. Maybe handing her back to her mother at the end of the isle as a sign of respect that I'm simply a "bonus Mom". You can get or win the man but no Mother wants another woman to dethrone her in the heart of her only child.

But sometimes that dethroning is done by the kids themselves and not the stepmom. I have seen it with my own eyes: children from a man's previous marriage prefer to stay with the stepmom than their own mother because their own mom is busy out hunting for a new catch and they feel neglected. I don't know why the need/desperation to find a new lover is so strong in young divorced mothers.
