I really enjoy watching your videos Corin, I’m new to Bonsai and just purchased my first two trees recently ( Chinese Elm and a Juniper) and your content is very helpful and fun to watch. You seem very knowledgeable and I will definitely be watching all of your videos. Thanks again and keep up the great work 👍🏼
@Nathan Smith Within the past 6 months, I also started getting into Bonsai with the same trees you did: A juniper and a Chinese Elm. I’m in the U.S. and I wish we had a shop like Corin’s. They have done some amazing work on their trees. Hope you’re enjoying your journey! 🌳Good luck!!
Yet another great video tutorial showing beginners how to start in the art of Bonsai, It's easy to begin with . . . but then it takes time, research, learning, patience and dedication from then on. Just follow Corin's advice if you love Bonsai. Beginner or Expert, we all need education! Thank You . . .
I just ordered a Juniper Bonsai kit. On the roof of my house there a patches of moss. Was wondering if adding some moss to the project would it help or hurt?
Great video, Just bought an untrimmed tree which has just arrived, thanks. Looking forward to seeing what it will turn into…can the tree then be repotted into a bonsai pot at this time of year?
During the video I heard Corin mention this was a Juniper Chinensis but do you have the particular species please? There seems to be so many Juniper Chinensis when I look around.
@@greenwoodbonsaistudio Excellent choice!! Great dial for summer, especially on that mesh bracelet. Glad to see we share two things in common. I just got an Omega Seamaster with the wave dial from the year 2000... one of those early James Bond type ones. Great stuff. 👍
How much can you prune before you start affecting the trees health? I see mixed opinions on the internet saying this much of heavy pruning depletes the trees energy. Thanks
Hello Ryan. This amount of pruning is standard practice, done with no issues. Otherwise I wouldn't do it. The tree is still left with plenty of supporting growth, I'm just removing the excessive growth - which just goes to show how well they have grown this season.
You should keep this tree and show us updates as the years go by. I know it would take ages but it would be great to see the progress
Packed and sent already :) read below :(
I'm amazed how quick you can turn a small bush into a Bonsai Tree, so educational and free knowledge is great knowledge ;-)
You are the Bob Ross of Bonsai, great presentation style and knowledge 👍
Wow! I’ve walked by these in my local nursery so many times...I never knew they could look like THAT!
I was pruning my trees in the garden the other day, and I kept hearing this phrase in my head: "Growing op too moch" ) Thanks for your videos, Corin

How old would this be approximately? And and what age would you recommend to start giving them those nice trunk-movements?

Are you also a watch guy Corin? What do you have on your wrist there? I see a blazing yellow dial diver watch.

Since these are shohin bonsai, if I put them in a larger pot, would it be possible to grow them into a large juniper?
Yes, Thomas , you can grow it on, thanks for ordering one, it should be with you tomorrow !
@@greenwoodbonsaistudio looking forward to it!!!
