First things first; -i dont care about people's opinions about my content, my channel or even me personally. You do you and i do i. Secondly; -i've been quite prominent about this channel not being about hate and bitterness, but more so about positivity, empathy and compassion. This video is not exploitation of Taylor, in fact, this video was made in 2021 before this all happend. I have two things to say, part I goes out to the trolls, wanting to vent and part II is for the people that actually like Foo Fighters and related content. Part I: I am not in any way associated with the death of Taylor Hawkins. So stop using my channel to vent your anger. If you look at the top right on your screen, you see a button that looks like a "X". Once you've clicked on this, this video magically disappears and you'll never have to see it again! Just found this amidst the disbelief, shock and tears over the news today. THANK YOU for posting this, it captures the essence of this awesome musician that didn't seem to be pretentious despite all of the fame and success. He was just a dude and wore his heart and love for music on his sleeve. He was "everyone's bro". My heart goes out to his blood family, his Chevy family and his Foo family.
Taylor correcting Dave on the Goodfellas thing is all I've ever needed in this life... I was screaming it at the top of my lungs while Dave was saying it and the Taylor came in to save the day!
The final clip was perfect. Dave broke his ankle falling off stage and Taylor picked up and fixed it until Dave could take his spot on stage in a chair with a doctor holding his foot in place. They played another 2 and a half hours that night. I'm so sorry Dave lost his brother.
My uncle met him once at a train store and went full on stalker mode and started taking pictures and my mother had to stop him, the funny thing is Taylor saw him do it too and thought it was funny
This video hits different now. I’m gonna really miss him such a legend of a musician and a person. Sadly I can only think this is the end of the foo fighters as well… He leaves behind a legendary spot in the music world.
I don't want this comment to seem like I'm undervaluing the loss Dave is feeling right now, after all, Dave not only lost a bandmate, but a best friend for a SECOND time in his life, but...have people forgotten that Dave Grohl was the drummer for Nirvana? He could, from a logistical standpoint, simply fill Taylor's place at the kit. He wrote most of the songs and aided him on drums on the studio recordings most of the time anyway, as we saw in this compilation video. I don't see this being the end of the road for Foo Fighters, I don't think Taylor would WANT it to be. I see a hiatus, maybe cancelling the remainder of the tour they're on, and then he'll fill in at the kit, at least until they get someone else in there.
I'm not one to be affected by celebrities' passings, but this man was the soundtrack to my teenage and adult years, a seemingly wonderful and genuine person, and best friend to another incredible man who I can't help but feel for as well. "Devastated" doesn't begin to cover it. Thank you so much for this video. I needed the laughs, and I want to remember him this way.
We lost a true legend with Taylor, the guy was golden and genuine through and through and a kick ass musician....RIP Taylor Hawkins, you will be sadly missed.
As much as it hurts to know he's gone, he lived life so much more intensely than the average person. A true legend who is going down as one of the true greats

when I started drumming at age 10, I was doing it bc of my hero Taylor Hawkins. what a shock when I found out what happened. I almost quit on the dream. But my band teacher would tell me, what would Taylor want you to do, and so I stay drumming for Taylor Hawkins❤️

Dave has been through this before and I always thought that informed his happy go lucky demeanor. This time it is different. We did not deserve Taylor Hawkins because he made a lot of people happy. It's very sad what happened to Taylor. May he rest in peace. But we need to be honest about something. He was a husband and father, and should've made better decisions about the lifestyle he was living. His family loved and needed him, and so did his bandmates and fans. By the time you reach 50 and have it all, you should be taking better care of yourself, not being selfish and stupid. We all do that sometimes... luckily we don't all have to learn it the hard way. Hopefully some people will learn from this. Unfortunately many won't. Rock on up there, Taylor.
@@jjrockjaw Like I said, people need to be honest with themselves. I believe he had something like 10 different drugs in his system. By ignoring that, and trying to scare people away from the vaccines, people can be taking a risk. People should know the truth so they can make their own decisions.
@@SWog617 that was a preliminary toxicology report. He was probably taking ssri prescribed medications. Anyways, what is a fact is that the vaccine is implicated with heart complications, to throw that out the window is foolish. When was the last time a rockstar OD'd and called the front desk and said I'm having chest pains? Answer: never. Your assumption is that your hero did enough drugs BEFORE the show to stop his heart. I don't think so. Taylor may have been on medications but I don't think he was a drug addict.
I'm a big Nirvana fan, I am rather young to be into this type of music, but I've loved it for years. I am not a Foo Fighters fan. I was always that one who swore that the only reason ppl thought they were good was because of Dave Grohl. However, even I am saddened to hear about Taylor's passing. He was definitely the heart and soul of the bands hits other than Dave, and I saw how happy he made Dave after everything with Nirvana. It is sad that he has to relive that again. R. I. P., Taylor.
But people think they're good because they're fucking good. You don't have to be a fan for that to be a fact and that's totally ok. I'm glad you respect Taylor's legacy.

I think they're good, I like a few of their songs, but that is what I used to say and I am being open about it. But, the important thing is that we are all saddened to hear about Taylor's death. When I found out it was extreme late at night and I was just about to go to bed, but hearing the news kept me up doing other things. I think for anybody who is a fan of rock music, this is a tremendous loss simply because of how funny, kind, and talented he was.

Seeing Dave and Taylor laughing and joking knowing we won’t see them inner acting like brothers is sad you could always tell they had a special bond .

@@jjrockjaw Like I said, people need to be honest with themselves. I believe he had something like 10 different drugs in his system. By ignoring that, and trying to scare people away from the vaccines, people can be taking a risk. People should know the truth so they can make their own decisions.
@@SWog617 that was a preliminary toxicology report. He was probably taking ssri prescribed medications. Anyways, what is a fact is that the vaccine is implicated with heart complications, to throw that out the window is foolish. When was the last time a rockstar OD'd and called the front desk and said I'm having chest pains? Answer: never. Your assumption is that your hero did enough drugs BEFORE the show to stop his heart. I don't think so. Taylor may have been on medications but I don't think he was a drug addict.

I'm a big Nirvana fan, I am rather young to be into this type of music, but I've loved it for years. I am not a Foo Fighters fan. I was always that one who swore that the only reason ppl thought they were good was because of Dave Grohl. However, even I am saddened to hear about Taylor's passing. He was definitely the heart and soul of the bands hits other than Dave, and I saw how happy he made Dave after everything with Nirvana. It is sad that he has to relive that again.

@@olliojenarter I definitely respect ur opinion and see where ur coming from, and it''s not that I dislike them. I think they're good, I like a few of their songs, but that is what I used to say and I am being open about it. But, the important thing is that we are all saddened to hear about Taylor's death. When I found out it was extreme late at night and I was just about to go to bed, but hearing the news kept me up doing other things. I think for anybody who is a fan of rock music, this is a tremendous loss simply because of how funny, kind, and talented he was.
