I was lost, confused, angry, and emotional constantly. It hit radio stations right as it was happening and it was exactly what I needed. Furthermore, the alt station came back to my city right then and there too, which is how I discovered it. Before I knew it, it was eeeverywhere. Bars, cars, you name it. This and CHVRCHES latest song at the time, "Get Out," had been released just months apart. I have an emotional attachment to this song for that exact reason, and haven't let it go since, from listening to it in my darkest moment, to teaching it to myself on the guitar. Plus, I mean, it was def nice to see such an amazingly sharp comeback from The Killers between this song and "The Man."

They are great live!!! Don’t let anyone tell you different. I saw them at firefly festival it was Paul McCartney’s birthday and he was playing right after or before them. I was pretty drunk. and we sang him happy birthday and it was absolutely amazing!!

Tarik Mikou managed to pack every frame with incredible composition and impacting contrast. So, can you name the influences in this song? Springsteen in the chorus (while you can, baby, don't look back). In the guitar, I hear Joy Division/New Order, The Smiths. In the bridge, maybe a touch of A-ha in the keyboards.
I think this song is not only fantastic but it’s the last chapter to the Mr Brightside story. In the second part Miss Atomic Bomb Brandon sings ‘ You run for cover’ which is the name of this song.Therefore I think there is a link and it is the last chapter. This chapter is telling the story of the women he fell in love with and the man she choose over him. She’s finally realising how evil and cruel he actually is and how she was wrong to go with him. Now she is trying to get back to Brandon somehow as she knows how much she truly loves Brandon. It’s just a theory but I think it is the last chapter of the Mr Brightside story. to say the song is amazing would be an understatement, but not having seen the music video before i'm completely in awe. Tarik Mikou managed to pack every frame with incredible composition and impacting contrast. It's lighting reminds me 17-century paintings having this complete darkness focusing the viewers attention heavily, absolutely stunning.

I think this song is not only fantastic but it’s the last chapter to the Mr Brightside story.
In the second part Miss Atomic Bomb Brandon sings ‘ You run for cover’ which is the name of this song.Therefore I think there is a link and it is the last chapter. This chapter is telling the story of the women he fell in love with and the man she choose over him. She’s finally realising how evil and cruel he actually is and how she was wrong to go with him. Now she is trying to get back to Brandon somehow as she knows how much she truly loves Brandon.
It’s just a theory but I think it is the last chapter of the Mr Brightside story. For all I know there could be more and I’d like to see it.

Although your theory makes sense, there is something that does not fit, to begin with, in the videos: Mr. Brightside, miss atomic bomb and just another girl, there is a constant miss atomic bomb is blonde, I am only basing myself on appearance, but also In this video you can see that she escapes, and in miss atomic bomb it is quite clear that they did not return, therefore I think it is incorrect, fine anyway.
Hey! I thinked that too when I listened run for cover for the first time, and I believe that rut is the sequel of all this so real and heartbreaking/warming at the same time story. This kind of redemption between Mr Brighstide and this woman trough her son or daughter
