Interesting fact: Rafa doesn't really change his string tension. He always plays with 55lbs (25kgs) of tension on both the mains and crosses no matter the conditions! Most players change their string tension depending on many factors to provide a bit more control (tightening strings) or power (loosening strings). Rafa also uses a small grip size for his height (size 2). Please leave a 👍 if you enjoyed and consider subscribing for more Court Level Tennis 🎾
@@teddymikefunk That's right! I wonder what his feelings were about the thinner gague string as that would give more power and comfort with less control and durability. I assume he went back to his normal setup as that's what he's known his essentially whole carrer. And we know he likes to keep things consistant
makes sense thats why his playstyle is limited and also limited surface wise, other players grind more surfaces and rafa puts faster surfaces on lottery mode.
@@reinkarnadeh? last I heard he’s won multiple slams on all surfaces. He’s most dominant on clay, sure, but to say he’s ‘limited’ is a bit much. He’s pretty damn good on hard as well and has even won 2 Wimbledon titles.
@@alantheangler6768 Rafa fan here, he's good on some hard surfaces but he remains limited on the faster hard surfaces. It's why he hasnt managed an ATP final win yet (Fastest hard court on the tour). To remain competitive at wimbledon he has to move faster on the court, something I think he's struggling with on the back end of his career with injuries :( Either way I'm just glad he will play at least one more year on tour, and finish on his own terms!!! VAMOS RAFA!!!
I have long enjoyed Federer's game for its fluidity and now amazed how Rafa has added fluidity of similar degree to his powerful game. What an inspiration champ.
Before his 4 pm final match vs Meddy in Rogers cup 2019, i sneaked into the center court at noon for Rafa's warmup. I have never seen such power coming out from a racket , blew me away. #VamosRafa
That's epic, you will remember that for many years! He is one of the greatest athletes of all sports and you can instantly tell he's different from the rest when seeing him play in real life!
Yes, It sounds amazing with headphones but even more so in person! It has to do with the polyester strings snapping back into place because of the amound of racket head speed he gets!

He used the rpm blast 1.30 (instead of 1.35) during the AO (but it was temporary)

best video on the channel. nadal forehand is brutal , listen to the POW POW POW sound. it has so much spin is mind bending.
the power and spin is next level
the acoustics on this video is crazy
Honestly my favourite video of yours!
We have the same last name
beautiful forehand of Moya
his racket seems way to light, but it might be also Rafa balls.
@@andreamassacci7942 It does look that way and I agree it could also be because of Rafa
Crazy good video Liam!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
@@LiamApilado I loved it!! Surprised at the amount of people there, not to many for a before tournament practice.
amazing video! ty!
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed!
@@LiamApilado btw do you know who this hitting partner is?
@@gasperkosec9160 yes that is former world number 1 Carlos Moya
wow. Thanks.
The ball is about to exploded
looking at the thumbnail only, i thought that was andrei rublev with his old haircut again :D
Wondering why the sound was so crisp when Rafa hit the ball.

@@LiamApilado Cool! Thanks.
Wow.
What tension do you think Moya's racquet is everyone?
It sounds around 25kg (55lbs)
Hot damn
moya still got it i guess?
Definitely
Yeah, he still has a racquet. Lol.
Carlos let Rafael practice handling weak returns?
