This recipe alone is great but remember this is the base of all spicy rice cake recipe and if you want to make it spicer or sweeter, make sure to add more sweets or pepper paste.
Hope you guys enjoy this recipe much as I enjoy making it for you.

Here in Australia we say oregano like the chef, not the American way.

Awww thanks Diane I appreciate it. Thanks for watching!! 🙏🏼
I LOLed when you said "English is a hard language." I'm learning Korean and my head is spinning because the characters make different sounds depending on rules I don't, yet, understand.
Haha English words are just confusing and hard to pronounce for me still 🤷🏻♂️
I added red and green peppers and onion. Came out pretty good.
Looks delicious 😋 yum yum

Had me putting my phone in my mouth at the end 😂 it looks so good!

Omg you read my mind, I was gonna ask you the question about using pepper powder vs flakes. 😂
Pepper flakes for jjigaes (soup) and pepper powder for Tteokbokki 🥳
07:05 i've also heard plenty of people ask why americans love cheese so much LOL so as a korean-american you gotta practically slap EXTRA cheese on it 😂
Mo cheese mo love 🥰
Need to make the rice cakes 😂
I used to always call Neapolitan ice cream “napoleon” ice cream, still to this day 😶
I love eating tteokbokki with cheeese!!! 🤤
It just hits diff!! 😋
@@ChefChrisCho it does! So good 😄
Can we use paprika instead Gochugaru to reduce spicyness? can Chef Chris or someone else pls answer me tnx ✌️
The sauce packets at Hmart are way too sweet so knowing how to make the base is perfect.
What part of Philly did you grow up in or did you live in when you were FOB? I grew up in Jersey but spent my entire life traveling between Philly Jersey and New York. Whether it's Penn's landing or Northeast Philly I don't go past Kensington Ave because it scares me but there's a Chinatown and koreatown and Asian markets in every Metro area like Philly Jersey and New York .
once heard a chinese girl pronounce Verizon like "Very-Zone". nearly died.
I might have to start doing that just for fun
My hubs is a fob and every time he says wrigley (as in wrigley field), it melts my heart. 40 years and rs still trip him up.
dis is kolea copycat Chinese food 😂
NOOOOO The cheese ruins it ! The trend of mixing cheese into Korean food is awful and ruins everything.
I believe with more accessible ingredients people should be free to incorporate things they may not traditionally had. Plus melted cheese on things just kicks it up a notch.
Naw cheese don’t belong
