It's not too hard on 4 strings. I tried playing an F on the high E string with my index knuckle at the same time as I played the B on the A string with my index finger tip. I don't know if that is really done. I didn't like not having playing the high string.
Thank you so much! I needed this chord for "My Prayer" in the key of "D"
You’re welcome you champion
"Diminished to B" brought me here, big thanks man
Thanks for this❤️
Thanks! I got it down perfectly :)
+Marwa Farooqui Good work!
Jolly good mate! Cheers from Canada...

Honestly that's the regular chord, you can play it from the B note on the 7th fret of the thickest E string but I think this is the easiest way
just play a B Dim up at the 7th fret, 7897xx its much easier to fret the same notes
+Grantburgh1 Actually both are quite easy with everyday practise 5 mins for just a week...And having multiple shapes in your pocket always helps!
+Aayush Gupta I agree completely with both of you :)
If I wanna play Bb dim can I do the same positions of the fingers that you show for B dim... starting in 6 fret ?
Carlos Jaras hi yes the shape would be 6786xx, notes would be Bb (root), E (flat fifth), Bb (root), Db (minor 3rd)
@@Parzival-qg2vu thanks so much
pls can I use this style in playing all diminished chords?
The movable barre chord shape yes, just move up a fret and make sure no open strings are ringing out
Is B major and B diminished sound the same ?
No very different B major sounds happy, B diminished sounds very sad and haunting
nice thanks
On the video it reads flat 5th, which is correct, but then you mention the perfect 5th above B, which is F#, not F. Mistake I guess?
Wow
eres muy guapo y me encanta tu acento!! sorry i dont speak english
Thank you!
I find it much easier without pinky and G muted
Another way of doing it just uses the top four strings:
E--4--
B--3--
G--4--
D--3--
A--x--
E--x--
I like it :)
you have a G# there
It can't be a B diminished, because there is a G# here. B diminished is a C major scale's chord, and there isn't G# in C Major scale.
It Bdim7 not Bdim
Bdim have only 3 notes (B D F) while Bdim7 have 4 notes (B D F Ab)
I like learning from attractive guys .
touche, thanks Grace
+Grace Elisabeth That is bold :D cool
Thank you so much but you've made a mistake, and that is, you played f again when you were supposed to play b again on a higher octave.
Easier... Yet harder on the piano since you are the entire orchestra as a pianist.
handsome
I made Bdiminished my World of Warcraft name.
Hilarious!
I messed around and decided G7 sounds much better and can replace B diminished in a composition. It's cheating. Ha ha
Great tutorial! Now go clean that disgusting fretboard.
