When I first was learning Tarot, I saw 7's as 5 + 2= disruption of unitiy. As I learned, 7's became about challanges and/or confrontation. 7 of wands challenge accepted, 7 of pentacals challenge to wait, 7 of swords challenge of ideas and 7 of cups challenge of desires. Your words of "there's still more to come" feel very compelling. I hadn't thought of the 7 in those terms before. This enforces for me that I will always be learning more about this wonderful, magical system called tarot and how meanings can change and evolve.
That is so funny cause I either see it as 6+1 which is centered energy plus action, or 4+3 which is stability plus growth. Thank you for this explanation
I wanted to thank you for the deck you made. At first I was a bit skeptical whether I even needed this kind of deck, but I bought it anyway. Some of the card draws really applied to me - when I was criticized and under stress. And for a friend I made a little ritual out of three cards that fell out :) so for me your deck fits
Oh that 7 of wands card!!! I love ur observation and interpretation of it. Speaking of which, Something I was resisisting and saying no to was the Crow Tarot, everyone was recommending it to me and I thought no no no, not for me (like the 7 of wands I stood my ground). 3 weeks ago I was on Amazon and something in my mind said click and buy, I did!!! Well let me tell you, the deck that I thought would be of no value to me is actually amazing.. it speaks to me in such a way that I cannot express in words. Sometimes we need to put our guard down and maybe those wands that are pointing at us in the 7 are not to attack but to get our attention. :)
Namaste, thanks for sharing your insigh, Anna! Love the deep dive video like this! Living in mundane life, we are in this "wheel of fortune" circles to learn to surrender to the universe highest purpose when things are beyond our physicality. Although Tarot gives us the insight of spiritual meaning, it becomes a real deal when we take the teachings from Tarot and go back to align our mind, body and spiritual with the change of universal purpose (as above so below) through daily practice. After I studied RWS for a little while, I went to study Marsellie, the first book I came across is the Bare-Bones Tarot by Pitisci. This book does the job to provide me short/sharp insight of marseille reading through Pitisci's life expriences. To me, this is the real deal to see how definition changes through 30's 50's to 80's and nowdays from someone's real life experiences. It has hugh impact on my way of learning tarot from reading so many books to re center back to simply key elements, then building my own intuition slowly through practise. It's so much fun.
I like that a lot. We will probably all see this happen for ourselves. Vincent Pitisci sharing his entire Tarot experience, and changes within it, with us certainly is an incredibly valuable tool
Great interpretation of the 7. What I seem to like so much about your Tarot videos - aside from the predilection to title references - is how they are in fact conversations and reflections initiated and framed by Tarot. You show what a proper reading - be it for oneself, or for another - should lead to. Regarding "spying"/checking-in - I've done some of my early readings in this formula, despite always feeling a bit of that "Will my ex come back?" vibe around them. What they really do well is bringing up our knowledge of others that we'd acquired through our interactions with a person, but which we then sort of forget and store away in the depths of our brains. PS. Been thinking about picking a Marseille deck for my collection, but Trionfi seems a beet much, while some restorations like Camoin-Jodorowsky have their colours almost too bright. L'incarnation does look nice, though.
Spying, yes that is what it feels like sometimes! Oops... And good point though on the knowing someone. I think people could enjoy this deck. It reads lovely and looks traditional even though a lot of different archetypes have become (parts of) known figures. I find that really cool though
Great video Anna❤ Each card carries so much untapped mystery...waiting to be found. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and discoveries. Added to the arsenal! ;)
Surely not a good time for those involved, but like you said, it is a seven, there's still more to come! The funny thing I wanted to share was that I was about to finish edging my tarot in wonderland and while I was watching I pulled the chariot! Amazing how this stuff works! The guidebook says, applaud your achievements without being critical. Which for me is hard... I am always critical about my errors and things that didn't turned the way I expected. I struggle with the seven because to me it means that I am being defencive but the Chariot means, get your shit together, move on, don't look back. There is a world to live!
Thank you! I really enjoyed both the video and topic. As an aside; I have found that the more often I use a deck, the deeper the conversation, replies, readings? I find it uncanny...and quite helpful.
I don't transpose Smith-Waite interpretations nor Thoth keywords onto Tarot de Marseille cards when I read with them. Instead, I combine number meanings and suit realms. Fo me 7's are the troubles that plague every man and wands are for work. As such the card already has all the shadow it needs. That being said, I really appreciate the insight you gave regarding the shoes and centre wands, and how they add colour to your readings.
I appreciate you and your energy, I have 2 vintage decks, 1) a 83 Thoth deck, and 2) a 71 Rider deck, trying to teach myself thank the Goddess Sophia for the internet of information.
@@AstralLadyTarot On the failure aspect of your reading; I personally learn far more from every failure than I do from any success I might perceive to have achieved. This is my last reincarnation on this earth plane, hope to meet you in some future destination.
Thank you ! A really interesting video giving food for thought! Hope you might offer more in the same vein ...I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated your thoughts 💕
The very first deck and little white book, Angel Tarot Stuart R Kaplan pip style, I would worry if his interpretation was something negative. How do you tell someone you dont know that there isnt a positive word for the card you have drawn according to this book? However, somehow, readings always made sense and nobody was ever offended if I said things like "unsatisfied, traitor, crisis" although perhaps 20 years ago I might have looked at the book and slighty changed the direct meaning and said "something has left you feeling unhappy, has someone betrayed you, this difficult time you are going through" Great to see you and hear your thoughts as always Anna, 🙏💜🙏
I don’t believe (Tarot) cards hold 100% positive or 100% negative meanings, but if this is how it makes sense in a reading it’s all about tact and just how you tell them. It’s the cards that were pulled, not you telling them what to do. Sympathize/ empathize with their situation. I can’t give you a proper example of how to phrase it because it’s personal of course but also we would need to analyze the whole reading. If there are specific cards you are hesitant to interpret for people, best to work with those even more deeply. Let me know how it works out!
Totally agree with you, although 20 years ago definitely that newbie thinking was thinking "oh, I don't want to upset someone because this little book says this is about sadness or loss" etc 20 years later its more intuition and a different way to word depending on the querent, their question and how it feels to say "this is where the cards could guide you in your scenario, or not!" Experience and wisdom ✨️ 🙏 🌟
What do you think of the interpretation of the RWS 7 of wands which, along with all the meanings you described, might also see the figure as someone rallying the troops? I feel like I’ve seen this reading somewhere before too, and visually I can see it tbh! Do you think this works with the 7 energy somehow, or is just a more intuitive read?
I like your take on the Sevens and I like the idea of asking the question and re-defining the term based on our own perceptions. Is it really a failure or are we just being too hard on ourselves? Are we really being valorous in taking this stance or are we just being stubborn? I like that.

Hello Anna, Thank you for sharing this video. Do you know where I could find this deck to purchase? Thank you!
Hey there, I wasn’t aware for the longest time but it is on amazon. Perhaps check French amazon. Let me know if you can find it!
Perhaps yes because “valour” reminds of showing courage and defending what’s yours?
What do you do when you need to do a reading for someone or yourself and the cards simply are not talking to you at that moment?
Put down the deck but leave the cards you’ve pulled out so you can revisit them when you’re in a different mindset
@AstralLadyTarot Thank you for your advice. 🙂

Thank you! I feel the sevens especially seem to give us questions rather than answers. But also perhaps it’s just me..😂
What is the mistake in the sun card? I kept trying to rewind but can’t understand
There’s an extra squiggle next to the roman numeral. Do you see it? It’s often called the “oh shit-line”
