I have been beading for a long time but haven't taken the time to try tubular herringbone. Wasn't a big fan of tubular design. But now...seeing the multi color crystal bracelet you have changed my mind. Your instructions are so clear. Great video Leah! Thanks for sharing your time and talent.
Leah, I have to say, I have been beading for a long time and have never like the look of tubular herringbone until your designs - I just love your style (sparkly) and your teaching style. THANK YOU!!
I do have to say I made it the first time and didn't have the right size bicones so I just made it with the 8/0 seed beads and it turned into a beautiful twisted thick bracelet that I get lots of compliments on!! 💕
Both bracelets are gorgeous and as always, your tutorial is stellar! You always explain the how-to thoroughly and clearly and THANK YOU for the excellent camera work and closeups! Nobody teaches beading better than you do, Leah! I'm learning so much from you and I want to tell you how much I appreciate you and the work you do!
Really beautiful bracelet design. Anxious to gie it a try.Love doing chenille stitch. It’s easy and has such a wonderful effect. Love how you transitioned from the clasp to the chenille with herringbone. I’ll be doing that tech from now on. The “little trees” really helps to remember how to do it. Adding the clasp in the beginning helps to determine how long to make the full bracelet . . . Duh! No guessing how much room to allo for the clasp. Plus it gives something to hold onto when first getting started. TFS!
Thanks so much for the kind words, Michelle! :-) -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
Very pretty bracelet. Thank you for that and for the clarity of your videos! I have seldom seen such clear closeups. Feel like I am there looking over your shoulder! Lol
Hi Leah! The minute I saw this bracelet, I knew I had to make it. However, I have never done herringbone or ANY kind of tubular bead weaving before! I just wanted to say thank you for going slowly and talking through each step so carefully. I haven’t watched to the end yet, but I’m going to try! I don’t think there is a better video out there for me to learn these stitches that even a year ago I wouldn’t have even considered trying. I love your tutorials! ❤️❤️❤️ Danielle from SF, CA
This is an amazing video and thank you. Your video technique is great. I used 3mm firepolished beads. Initially I used ko thread but it was way too soft. Unpicked and used fireline and it’s perfect.
@@Janethedream Nice!!! Are you in the Facebook Beading Group I run for Eureka??? If not, here's the link if you're interested! Would love to see you post some pics when you finish!
Both bracelets are gorgeous! I love how you attach the clasps with the "trees". I believe you did this technique on the pave bracelet also. That's another favorite of mine. Question, you use 3mm crystals. Would 4mm be too big or would I have to adjust anything? Thanks for sharing! ❤
Yes, you're correct!! I did adapt the "trees" from my Pavé bracelet - I think it works great to lead into the Chenille stitch! :-) .....regarding 4mm's.... my concern would be that it wouldn't allow all the beads to sit as closely together - which means a looser stitch...and which could mean more thread-movement and possible breakage. :-/
Oooooo, another beautiful bracelet to make. At times, I wish I was an octopus 🐙 so I could wear 8+ at a time. Although, that would hinder my ring wearing ability! 😂
Great to hear, Elizabeth!! :-) And thanks for subscribing. -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
Hi, I love this but I'm limited to what I can get... I only have 11/0 seed beads and 4mm bicones in lots of colours. I thinking to attempt a bright colourful design since I can't get those pastel colours. On average how much in each colour would be needed? Thank you soO much for any advice provided.
Hi Leah! Quick question - when you first started, you said to go up the trunk and then the left branch. After that, there’s no more mention of the trunks. Am I correct that you only go up that first trunk and then everything else is done on the left and right branches? Just wanted to make sure I’m following along correctly. I hope you understand what I’m asking!! (I’m Sharon Bryan in the Facebook group 😊💜) Thank you so much! It’s a gorgeous design!! 💜💕💜
They are coated! :-) We have some in 24K gold plating as well. Here's all of them in case you're curious... www.eurekacrystalbeads.com/czech-round-seed-beads/
I didn't have the crystals for this and I went to the store and for some reason I bought 2 mm round faceted crystals. Do you think these will work or will they be too small??
I'd say give it a try and report back. They might be a tad small but it's hard to tell because the shape and size is different and I've never tried it with those before.
Quick question: do you think this design would work with beads and crystals or other accent elements in different sizes? Eg. 4mm druks or pearls with 11/0 seeds? That’s about 2mm size difference between the filler beads and the accent elements. Curious.
Absolutely! It might take a little trial and error to see if the 2.5 or Czech true 2 beads will work with seed beads that are so much smaller since they are only a but smaller than the bicones I used - but you can ABSOLUTELY do variations with 15/0's and 11/0's :-)
THANK YOU Darla!! That was the only thing I could imagine and I’ve heard Leah use that description before, but wanted to make sure I wasn’t being too literal, lol. Thank you for your kindness in answering :0)

Hi Karmina! 2:10 mark of the video will tell you the amount you need 💖
Love this, would it drape nicely as a necklace do you think
Thank you! This type of pattern would make a lovely necklace as well 💖
Very nice bracelet but it is a nightmare for "tight" beaders. Bicones cut even 8lb fireline. Will try this one with fire-polished beads. Thank you.
Good luck!
So gorgeous and well explained 💕 Now I know why I started collecting 3mm bicones last year... 😁 Now... which colors to do first...?😉
Thanks Abby!
I'm just looking at starting this bracelet now and you mentioned you are using the Czech seed beads. Can the other ones (not delica) be used?
It should be ok to use other beads as long as they are the same size and shape!
Love!!!!
Thanks Mary!!!

Quick question: do you think this design would work with beads and crystals or other accent elements in different sizes? Eg. 4mm druks or pearls with 11/0 seeds? That’s about 2mm size difference between the filler beads and the accent elements. Curious.
I do think it would, Michelle! :-)
Thanks for your quick reply
Could this be made more delicate by using 15/0 and 11/0 with either 2.5mm bicone to Czech true 2 bead?
Absolutely! It might take a little trial and error to see if the 2.5 or Czech true 2 beads will work with seed beads that are so much smaller since they are only a but smaller than the bicones I used - but you can ABSOLUTELY do variations with 15/0's and 11/0's :-)
