Hi Calvin, I do remember you and your awesome model of 'Persistance'! We're doing well and the boat was just out for another cruise yesterday, visiting our friend Chris Wilson and the 'Aurora Restoration Project'. I would like to send you a 'Persistance' related gift if your parents approve. Feel free to email me at wharcourt1-at-gmail-dot-com
@@WesleyHarcourtSTEAMandMORE Nice of you to remember me. I'm in high school now and like I said your channel just randomly crossed my mind when I was about to go to sleep. I would love to accept your gift but my parents aren't the most keen on accepting things from strangers from the other side of the country, I still love them however, lol. I appreciate the offer. The lego "Persistance" is long gone (I take apart builds and use the peices to make new builds) But I still build with lego, well, when marching band and homework isn't eating up all my time. I'll continue to pop in every once in a while to see what you and your family are up to.
@@calvincanada4723 I totally understand, and I think they're wise. I used to recycle my Lego (and clay) projects as well. Always so much to make and never enough medium to make it all with. Good luck with highschool. It can be a lot of fun if you go into it with the right attitude and hard work. Don't forget to enjoy your childhood too though! You'll pine for those care-free days once you're an adult. Yes stop on in and say hi once in a while. Hope you and yours stay healthy. ~Wes
Bonjour Wesley, 2010 ? It doesn't matter, these machines are more than 100 years old and operate like new now I am sure. Great fleet indeed, but did I miss Persistance, I haven't seen her and it seems that you were on a smaller launch ? You have much more compounds than us in France, which is to your opinion the most powerful one ? And the maximum speed ? Amicalement, Raphaël
Bonjour Raphaël, Yes indeed they will be able to run many centuries after we are all but dust! Persistance was still just a dream in the yard back in 2010. Compounds seem to be one of the most popular engine arrangements, at least in these parts. I believe at that meet, Jerry Blain's compound was the most powerful. It would be a close race between Jerry's "Shenandoah" and my "Wayward Belle" I have GPS'd Wayward Belle at 10mph with a on a few occasions.
wonderful

Great stuff hope these times come again soon. :)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Me too!
