Phil's clearly forgotten Peggy grassed his dad Eric up, even if it was to protect him, Grant and Sam. And, given they won't willingly write him out, it's fairly obvious he's gonna take this offer, which might open up some more potential for him beyond an ageing, unconvincing thug.
