The Cord Swordfish surfboard is built to perform, tight turns, airs and barrels, don't be intimidated though its a really usable shape. We've been wanting to offer Cord boards for a while, Markie Lascelles is right up there with the best shapers around, so we're super stoked to finally bring them to our customers.
The Swordfish has a brilliant blend of usabilitly and attention grabbing performance, most people can't get the most of a traditional shortboard this is where the Swordfish steps in, it gives you the performance in a way that the average guy can actually surf it. This board was conceived for Noah Lane going on a trip to the Maldives, it worked there and it works for him back home too, no tweaks needed.
The Swordfish achieves this through a wider nose outline and the wide point is forward which helps with paddling into waves. At the same time the pulled in back half of the board and the square cut swallow tail allows the board to excel in performance and rail surfing. It has a pretty flat entry rocker to maintain speed and a flatter tail rocker to give you drive out of your bottom turn, then lifting slightly into the fluted channels for squirt out of the end of your turns also.​
The Cord Swordfish is a great addition to a quiver if you are looking for a different feel or are looking for a board to sit at the top end of your quiver, or a board to take on that special trip somewhere spicy!
