    Saw the arrangement and listened out of curiosity and was like “this is pretty cool” and then Portals came on and I popped off this is great

    tenor and bari sax parts are such a mess - just copy/pasted garbage that make no musical sense at all. They will often double other parts (which is fine), but the voice they double changes every half note. Trom 1, then Baritone, then Trom 2, then back to doubling tuba for a few measures. Makes it real hard to "hear" your part in the band and blend when it keeps changing.

      Yeah the doubling makes sense if the arranger wants a part to be heard better than just one instrument playing but the note changing from different parts doesn’t make any sense but I’m sure there is a good reason why.
