SUNPAK Ultimate Vlogging Kit: Unboxing, Put Together, and Review

For this weeks video I unboxed, assembled, and reviewed the SUNPAK Ultimate Vlogging Kit.
I like the kit and think I can make it work for me but I do have some concerns.
I'm concerned about the sturdiness of the product. The tripod doesn't seem very sturdy and the light seems "plasticy."
The glare off of my glasses is pretty bad so I'll need to find a way to adjust the light differently to hopefully avoid that. (Not the products fault)
The Boya mic that came with the kit does not improve my sound but actually add more surrounding fan noise and makes my voice sound tinny.
After paying $150 USD for a product I expect more out of it...
I will be messing with the settings and making adjustments so hopefully the SUNPAK Ultimate Vlogging Kit will grow on me.

What you also want to adjust is the angle. You could prob eliminate much of the eye glass reflections.

I just got my kit today at Best Buy. My complaint: the Boya mic that comes with it isn't the same as the one on the picture on the box. It's larger. It's made for Canons and Nikons. It also does not come with an adapter to mount on your smart phone, as pictured on the box.

This was one of the more informative and easy to follow instructions for this product- I had trouble attaching my mic to my phone since 1 of the phone grips did not have a cold shoe attachment, I thought that all three grips were the same, so I didn’t check until thourally irritated. It would have been good to know about the phone grip difference.

Terrible instructions! The whole point of doing a video on assembling the light should be installing everything not just what you need. She doesn't actually show you up close what pieces go with what. Disappointing.

Thanks for the unboxing. I will probably get the downgraded version since I have the Samsung S20 and there are no ports for microphones. I basically would be paying 150 for just the tri-pod and not actually get use of the other features unless I purchase other external devices.

I'm happy with it so far. I don't use my phone on it much but I'm still using an S10+. As for the microphone I think my rode mic is far preferred over the included mic.
