YOU ROOOOOOCK!!!!!!!!!!
Such a performance, you are amazing, Kian!!!!
Amazing. And bravo to you for memorizing this piece!!! Holy crap
What's up Yeil
Great playing man, also really impressive you memorized this, WOW
Kian you are AMAIZING!!!!!!!! Such control, and such a great music... That's just awesome...
Can't agree more! Bravo Kian!!!
I've loved this concerto since the early '70's. Kian - such wonderful musicianship and empathy with what is a monumental part of the cello repertoire.
this has to be the single crispest competition performance I've ever heard. so good.
I love this piece so much. I love how Lutosłwaski orchestrated this. It's crazy to me how someone can envision music that's this complex and make it a reality. One of my favorite parts of this is 17:34-18:13 , I absolutely love the chord at 18:13. And I absolutely love the way that F in the horns at 23:41 crescendo into that huge chord at 23:42 that the whole orchestra played. The high woodwinds played a B flat there and I love the sound it creates with the horns still playing that F in the chord. I absolutely love this orchestration, so beautiful.
Remarkable
Exquisite playing Kian - This performance is right on the nose!
W❤️OOW- EINFACH GENIAL
- KIAN SOLTANI - ❤️GRATULATION
GROSSE PERFEKTION !
UNÜBERTREFFLICH !
🎻
Amazing , even memorable music.I will never forget the opening 4 minutes of solo music ! wow! And that idea of a repeated pitch and then it comes again later in contrast with another.Music of idea ! I luv the trumpet intro later . It all feels like a utterly communicative new language that one must do some labor to reach into. My kind of music.I need to listen to Zimmerman play th epiano concerto again .didnt get it years back.this is wonderful elusive. my kinda stuff !
Congratulations! Wonderful!
VSupreme musicality!
Big fan Kian! You should promote this more! What a performance!
🌻👏👏👏
A truly amazing performance of a difficult piece. Bravo and thank you for posting. I hope you had won the competition!
FABULOUS RECORDING! I'm in love with this piece, and you play it with a lot of character ... =D So good!
This performance is outstanding.
It is not my kind of music , but , Kian you make it beautiful.... you are a magician and a great cellist. Bravo !
¡¡ FANTASTIC !!
I am loving this concerto every time more and more !
paclos29 to
¡¡Bravo!!. Muy Grande
wow. amazing!
Fantastic. I saw Rostropovich play this (under composer's baton) at his monumental 60th birthday concerts in London (~50 concerti, from memory, in ?2 weeks!) This one didn't particularly capture my imagination at the time. But now I've the sheet music on order. Well done, Kian. Very inspiring interpretation (e.g. the head movements/directions ~1:00 - clever!)
Learning this will be a tall order, but worth it!
Bravissimi!
I love this concerto
not the melody, but the absurd inside
I HATE THIS "ABSURD INSIDE" ! 🤬
Sorry !!!!!
Bravissimo!
nice
Post 1970 this is the standard by which every classical cellist shall be measured
sehr schön!
LOV AT 18:11 when everything becomes CHAOTIC and FRENZIED like sometimes in real life. Then THE ULTIMATE CLIMAX at 23:54 as the whole orchestra extends the same LOUD note continuously until 24:15. WOW!!!!
So amazing. What kind of cello is that?
thanks, man! It's (probably) a Thomaso Balestrieri from 1747, its not quite sure though ;)
Kian Soltani What strings do you use to get that nice tone?
Apparently Soltani plays the 'London Strad' Cello.
Certainly his exquisite musicianship summoned forth the gorgeous tonal qualities of a fabled instrument.
Soltani also composes, and the premiere of his own composition (an encore to his performance of the Shostakovich Cello Concerto (#1) with the QSO on 17/9/16) was a real treat. Beautiful, mature work.
Concerto for Cello in D Major and Camera in F sharp.
What is it with Finns and Lutosławski's Cello concerto???
Wonderful performing of an atrocious music
music sounds like nonsensical garbage but his playing is great
i personally like the music, but i agree with you his playing, is amazing
@@sneddypie omg I found you again lol, i'm uploading the score to this soon
I love this piece because of the interesting sounds and colors Lutosłwaski produces from his orchestration. And the ideas he comes up with are very complex and I love the way he arranges them.
I hate the music... But love to see you playing.
Kian 's talent deserves better musical composition. Love his playing, dislike the music !!!!!!
maybe give it a few more listens! it's profoundly emotional
This is not music this is noise.
This is profoundly beautiful, emotive music, expressive of the times in which we live.
azeazr raer totally agree with you
Whether you like Lutoslawski or not, this is a *very* compelling performance nonetheless...
This is not a fact it's an opinion.
Just because you don't understand and relate to it doesn't mean it's any worse than other types of music.
I think it's better if you just said you don't understand this type of music. It's incredibly foolish to say that this isn't music. All sound that is organized is music.
Boring
