One thing Matt could've done to get the Devil AND the Boss Rush at the same time was to enter the Boss Rush first when he entered the Mom Fight. Because When you use Mama Mega outside the Mom boss room, Mom is not killed instantly. Since she is not killed and the Boss Rush door is open, he could've entered the Rush, finish it, THEN do the Mom Fight, and get the Deal.

You know I just realized something. If you get mama mega like he did at 17:37 you can still get the deal and boss rush. You just need to get the fool card from the tinted skull, defeat mom, spawn the deal, and then teleport out and use mama mega.
I just achieved my first dead god file after a full decade of playing Isaac on and off, and as of last year I've been on such a big grind to finish all the unlocks thanks to your videos, and now I'm excited to get into my second save file

I'm not sure exactly how, maybe giving yourself something bad, taking away something good, or maybe even if you are doing a "challenge" modded character you could do an irl punishment if you have to respawn. Just a thought, love the content btw!

I bought this game 13 days ago, (I’ve been watching it for a lot longer) and in one of my runs I had dr fetus and I was doing really well with it that was until I went to the hush floor, I saw tiny planet in one of the rooms and I at first was skeptical of it being good with dr fetus but then for some reason i was hyping up the combo in my head saying “wait I have horrible tier rate this might be the thing I need to beat hush, the bombs probably don’t even go in a circle around yourself, this will be great” Needless to say I died.
