Excellent speech. You people need to shut it about Miami. It's been 6 y-e-a-r-s since Saban signed with Alabama. He did have trouble at Miami with trying to get the players to convert to his program. At Alabama he has a fresh start every season with young players willing to listen and be taught. They have done well. Stop thinking situations have to be done all your way or no way. Life isn't like that. I would choose college football over pro football any day of the week.
My dad showed our whole family this video tonight, and I can't say I agree with everything he said but the main gist of it is dead on! Whatever you set out to do, give it EVERYTHING you've got! Great motivational speech from Saban! :)
Slow the F down Multiracer19! First of all I have been an Irish fan all along and have not wavered once, even through the bad times. I respect Coach Saban for the program that he has established at Alabama and I respect his commitment to the standards he sets for his players. Notre Dame earned its way to the national championship and deserved to be there. Notre Dame also needed to put themselves in a position to play the best to measure themselves to understand what it takes to compete.
Having said that, this video and what Coach Saban says in this video is inspiring and wonderful. I would have been proud for my son to have heard this and lived by this message. I hope that everyone of us that has watched this video learned something about ourselves from what Coach had to say. It was wonderful and even though I cheer for the Orange and Blue every day of my life, I am glad for those boys at Bama to have such a fine man leading them day in and day out.
Guy, I understand that as Auburn and Alabama fans we have picked our teams and we love our schools no matter what happens and not matter if we win or lose. I am a life long Auburn fan and it goes back to my grandfather who served in WW2 and Korea who graduated from API (Auburn). I will say this, I love Coach Chizik and think that he is a wonderful motivational speaker. I have read his book and find it to be spitrually uplifting.
this guy is a modern day mr. miyagi......people should really be grateful that they had a chance to learn under him. Ive never played football but if I were a few years younger Id certainly want to be a part of this camp, theres probably more to learn about life from this camp than football anyway.
He talks about character, give me a break, the same guy who left Miami in the middle of the season after he said he will not go to Alabama and he will stay in Miami
At a high level. Enjoy the success while it lasts. Coaches all over the country are studying and gettung better therefore players will get better. The game will level itself out and everything that begins has an end.
What we have to remember is that we don't like each other but after all is said and done...it is just a game and we should all work together to better this world. War Eagle and Roll Tide will be around longer than all of us. If you don't like what I had to say then that is fine but you don't have to.
@monkeyboy1971... I was there w/ my 8-yr-old... I was cool to watch how the coaches didn't really discriminate on age... They did go a little easier on the 8-yr-olds, but EVERY kid worked 12 hr days and in the 100+ degree weather... Most of the day the younger ones were in the indoor facility, but they swapped out for Bama Ball...
My wife's family comes from the south and one thing that I have noticed about them is when there is a difference of opinion, they get butt-hurt and start hurling names at eachother. I STILL like Coach Saban and I respect what he has done for Alabama football and the character that these young men leave there with. I was simply stating a law of nature; every beginning has an end. The rest of the country will soon adapt and things will level themselves out. Enjoy the ride.
Please tell me that irish fans are not comparing Brian Kelly to nick Saban. First off he has less titles than Gene Chizik so he needs to compare himself to chizik first.
Really? Nebraska did that plus more from 93-97. Played for 4 National Titles in 5 years and won 3 of them with 2 being back to back. When Saban leaves there will be a slight drop off but I'm not seeing much of one though.
look at Aaron Rodgers. He was 24th in the first round. Look at Justin Tuck He was 74th in the 3rd round. My god look at Tom Brady who was picked at number 199. A good coach brings out the best in players. Nick Saban didn't do it that well. Nick Saban is just benefitting from an already dominant football program and is taking credit for it.
@jrobau91 Or *uburn!! !LOL Grant could not make the 4th team at Bama so he went to *uburn. You need to get ready for the fireworks to come in July from the NCAA/FBI. Remember I told you that!!! NCAA-NCAA-NCAA!!!
Im not saying that, Im saying QB is the only position that can really be developed in the NFL. You mentioned Montana being picked really low but turning out to be great. What Im saying is QB is the only instance where you see that. If youre any other position, chances are youve already reached your potential, which is what Saban is so good at, and is a big reason why he wasnt as good the time he was in the NFL, because he inherited a terrible team and couldnt develop talent.
but you know he's gonna get bored soon. I mean he already gonna get his statue, he's like a God there. You think he wants to recruit for the rest of his life. He's gonna leave soon and try a new challenge
hey jrobau91, when students don't focus and pay attention they do get cut and attend the easy school (AU) and get paid to do what your institution did this past year. The walls are starting to tumble down around you.
What's sad is Nick Saban could be a STELLAR NFL coach if he hadn't bailed on Miami. He is the premier defensive mind in college football and runs arguably the best program around. Several keystone writers have made the same remarks. I think he failed in Miami largely because of bad QB play and a complete douchebag of an owner in Stephen Ross.
that's not true.until jimmy johnson no coach had ever won at both levels.nick saban is a great college coach.dan devine was a failure at green bay but won the NC at notre dame.bill walsh was great in the pros but not at stanford.
Hey hardman35, just make sure that my burger doesn't have any onions the next time I come through the drive-in. I will have you demoted to fries. They are 10 year olds, get a grip. And besides the camera takes off 3 inches, everybody knows that.
false, success in pro football is decided in large part by how many great players your team can trade for, most pro athletes have reached their potential and while Saban can coach, hes also known for developing talent and you really cant do that in the NFL because theyve already been about as developed as theyre gonna be.
No one gave 2 shits about them huh? See that's the difference in Alabama, and Notre Dame for instance, as for the last 10 years no one gave 2 shits for them, but as for Bama our fans still supported our team, came to the games, we sold tickets, ask anyone in South Bend they will tell you they didn't exist for 10 years. SEC sucks for you, because your team isn't in it, but I think the stats speak for theirselves.
You can be a good team without a great quarterback. Chicago Bears made it to the Super Bowl once with Rex Grossman, and hes not even that good. The Quarterback isnt everything on a team.
Youre an idiot... Drives me nuts how people say this is our peak, enjoy it while you can, etc... No other University in the country has accomplished what Nick Saban & the University of Alabama has. In the past 4 years we hold 3 National Titles & 2 of them are back to back... NO OTHER SCHOOL HAS DONE THAT...
@greymoose1000 your not very intelligent in college football and your just disappointed in the Trojans and choose to take it out on a successful organization. What a shame?
Nick Saban isnt even that great of a coach overall. The best coaches are those who are able to be successful at the pro level. He absolutely failed in that department and decided to do something easier like college football.
Excellent speech. You people need to shut it about Miami. It's been 6 y-e-a-r-s since Saban signed with Alabama. He did have trouble at Miami with trying to get the players to convert to his program. Great speech to the kids, love that he's getting on them a bit!! This speech has a ton of great points, get's me fired up!!! Relentless baby!!
My dad showed our whole family this video tonight, and I can't say I agree with everything he said but the main gist of it is dead on! Whatever you set out to do, give it EVERYTHING you've got! Great motivational speech from Saban! :)
This guy is one of a kind. And for 70, he looks great
Wow. He's got a good point, that lots of people don't realize. You get out of something what you put into it. Well said, Saban.
I was in there in person great speech and the camp was awesome too
My grandson heard this last summer and he's going back this summer to hear it again! Love you Coach Saban
I would love to know how your grandson turned out 12 years later?
Slow the F down Multiracer19! First of all I have been an Irish fan all along and have not wavered once, even through the bad times. Notre Dame also needed to put themselves in a position to play the best to measure themselves to understand what it takes to compete.
I love it. It's a summer camp for kids and he's absolutely fired up about football.
Going to the camp this summer excited but nervous.

In this speech i see why he has won multiple championships
I love that Freddie cruger bit. Roll tide.
Offenses are gonna feel like Bama has 11 Jason Voorhees on defense this year.
this guy is a modern day mr. miyagi......people should really be grateful that they had a chance to learn under him. Ive never played football but if I were a few years younger Id certainly want to be a part of this camp, theres probably more to learn about life from this camp than football anyway.
Very powerful, and inspiring!!
Tomorrow I'm going to his camp.. Man I'm nervous but hey jack your lookin at the best coach of all time but there's only one legend THE BEAR!!!
I WOULD PLAY FOR HIM!
life aint soft either, which I think was the main point he was trying to make.
He talks about character, give me a break, the same guy who left Miami in the middle of the season after he said he will not go to Alabama and he will stay in Miami
Nick Saban is a boss
This is a great speech. I took a lot of stuff away from this speech.
Well, I'm a Bama and a Dolphins fan. But I definitely put Bama first. So glad he's in Tuscaloosa!
At a high level. Enjoy the success while it lasts. Coaches all over the country are studying and gettung better therefore players will get better. The game will level itself out and everything that begins has an end.
What a beast!
he doesn't coach, he parents. inspirational!

War Eagle and Roll Tide will be around longer than all of us. If you don't like what I had to say then that is fine but you don't have to.
Every time I hear Coach Saban speak i want to put on the pads and get on the field. I would love to have played for him! Roll Tide!
preach on brother nick!!
roll tide forever
ok, point made, but its really just qbs where that is the case.
Like a boss.
good lord pick a wall, i'm ready to run threw it
Hahaha he's already yelling at the campers by 2:09
LOL...Saban riding those junior high kids. Awesome.
Audio is clipped and goes out periodically
Look at all the kids not giving a fuck in the background lmao

secretly Moose loves houndstooth and just hides it from us all.
14 People werent looking at Coach Saban.
Did i forget to mention that Joe Montana was picked at round 3 number 82?
why? sure theyd help you football wise, but Sabans camp will help you as a person a lot more IMO.
My wife's family comes from the south and one thing that I have noticed about them is when there is a difference of opinion, they get butt-hurt and start hurling names at eachother. but what about my gamer score? That's an investment right?
Lou Holtz is like 80 years old and Id rather be in his camp. Id even be in retired Bobby Bowdens camp
Roll Tide baby. I went to the camp when shula was there...no comparison. Saban is the shit
every 'Dolfan' must be sick to their stomach lol
Jason Vorhees on line 2, Mr Saban.
Please tell me that irish fans are not comparing Brian Kelly to nick Saban. First off he has less titles than Gene Chizik so he needs to compare himself to chizik first.

For all you haters, football ain't soft!!! Get over it.
@Straitblown87 You listened to all 16:25 of this video probably a 100x...to learn how to be a winner.
I like the part from 00:01 to 16:26
'Nick Saban is a broken record with waving hands. I can't believe that his ego fits through any doorway.
Trevor B rot in hell dukey
@Straitblown87 Must be an Awburn fan...
i was there

@LSUTigersRULE27 - Mad Hatter foreclosed on that property....

@Michael Cook no doubt!
3 barners disliked this... feel sorry for you guys.. you will never be successful

He says some really good stuff here, but why would someone cuss in the same speech that he is talking about character?
War Eagle!! Malzahn will resurrect us
@justluckeydogg UA graduate. Check my early uploads from Pasadena. Listen to one of his speeches and you have heard them all........Aight?

Seven straight years of biased pollers. Yup.
false, success in pro football is decided in large part by how many great players your team can trade for, most pro athletes have reached their potential and while Saban can coach, hes also known for developing talent and you really cant do that in the NFL because theyve already been about as developed as theyre gonna be.

Efrain there is no such thing as a sec bandwagoner. If you were from the south you would know that
Yeah... how long did have you been an alabama fan? Probably since they won the title. I smell an SEC bandwagoner.
angry little dwarf isn't he
Lol
Like what he's saying, but the audio quality is TERRIBLE!

Overated. They are good right now, but 5-10 years ago, know one gave two shits about them.
