Having a band summon the dead as a crowd while performing an exorcism is one of the most metal things I've ever seen
and the fact they arent even aware of the fact/ cant even see it is even funnier

I love how the band was kinda fumbling like they didn't know what they were doing at first. And as soon as they started playing, they just went fucking crazy.

Yup. At first, I thought they were gonna be a joke, and their music was gonna be really bad. Safe to say, I was pleasantly surprised when they actually rocked so hard the spirits woke up lol.
I could already guess they were the performers for the excersion when they were initially shooed from the property. I thought they would stand out when they were introduced. And I was not disappointed.
I love how Aira thinks it'll be annoying and covers her ears, but as soon as she hears the music, she starts head banging with everyone else.
Most surprising thing here is the fact that Seiko started head banging aswell
Aira has a musical background and doesn't like the violent songs

I love how the band isn’t even aware of all the spirits. Like they are really giving it all just for a group of 4 kids and an adult…while spirits are just having an absolute blast around them
They could at least see the fire and the guy floating
It's also because in the manga there were no spirits, the animators here went the extra mile and I for one am forever grateful
They know about the spirits but can’t see them so they’re just jamming hard

You really feel for him because he was just a little boy who was locked up until they sacrificed him to the volcano and then his soul didn't pass on so he got see generation after generation of families come in and the parents kill themselves and their children be sacrificed to the worm. Generations of self hatred from the parents who suddenly feel worthless enough to kill themselves and fear from the children and his own hatred towards the Kito family for sacrificing him in the first place. It's just tragic what he's gone through and Jiji really is his first friend in a long time.
Netflix just casually getting the vocalist of DragonForce to dub an anime insert song wasn't on my 2025 bingo card, but there ya go...

This moment of Jiji begging for Evil Eye to be spared while a rock concert exorcism plays in the background really encapsulates some of the best parts of Dandadan. The absurd, the awesome, and the emotional all at once.

Honestly gets my emotions, such a power driven scene with the stakes at their highest and the biggest choice on Jiji's life while Seiko tries to figure out if she should or shouldn't do this.
Beside the epic song, how many times i cry about jiji line with so deep cry and promise he keep to the evil eye. So touching
not only did they trigger every metal fan, but also the guitar hero community by getting marc hudson from dragonfoce to perform this masterpiece (yes i know through the fire and flames was recorded with a different singer)
also they referenced back to the future with the amplifier scene in the beginning.

Bro I was watching episode 3 last night and fell asleep around the part when jiji cursed body was defeated and woke up in the middle of the night binge watching and I could not comprehend where I was, I still had the tv on max volume when I went to sleep and when I woke up all I heard was loud ass rock metal music blasting and when I looked towards the tv I thought I was dreaming but it was actually real life…….. 10/10 experience

I can't help but cringe when dubs suddenly switch to Japanese songs. It rarely makes sense (I've seen a few exceptions,) and is such a jarring switch it breaks the immersion. So when this song happend and wasn't only dubbed, but was actually incredible, that made me really happy :)
They didn’t have to go this hard period. The sheer effort they went through; getting Megadeath’s guitarist, Jean from AoT for Japan/Marc Hudson from Dragonforce for English to do this, makes this all the more PEAK and I’m here for it!
The dub overall for Dandandan is stellar!
