    I basically bought this knife on a whim as I already have a large knife collection including about 10 ZTs. I was surprised by how useful it turned out to be. Feels good in the hand and deploys very quick and smooth. One of my favorite EDCs around home and around town.

    Seems like a novelty to me, but there's nothing necessarily wrong with that. Great video!

    This is my knife for when I wear athletic shorts, no noticeable weight, super secure clip, just enough cutting edge to get the job done with some nice style.

    It’s a neat little knife but I really don’t think i would carry it however I think zt did the right thing by putting a longer clip on it when you have a short knife like that you want a nice long clip with good retention

    Love mine it's perfect for opening something or a small quick cut
    It's 2023 and the price has come down a bunch sidenote I found it super fidget friendly once you get it the feel

    200 bucks is a chunk of change..but..I spend between 50 and 250 pretty normally as an enthusiast, from trusted brands like Spyderco, Benchmade and Zero Tolerance...for a small knife that I'll keep around it and carry to work it is justifiable with a little budgeting. Definitely a fan of the knife, and USAmadeblade has an anodized, patterned one for the same 200 dollars..yeah it's actually pretty dope to add to the collection!

    I picked one up for just over a hundred bucks. I like the CPM 20CV steel. It didn’t come razor sharp but a bit of stropping got it there. The fit and finish on this little knife is phenomenal. Grinds are absolutely perfect. The carbon fiber has a nice grippy feel to it, better than the CF on my 0562. I’m impressed with this little knife.

    Smaller then i initially thought.. a true testament to knife manufacturing capabilities by ZT! people don’t realize how hard it actually is to scale down and execute a high-end knife that size.. just not my flavor

    I have it for a month now and like it a lot. Use it on my job and when I need a bigger knife I just take the second knife I always carry. Nice review!

    I want this model so much, busy jeez. $220 for a 1.8" blade lol, sheesh 😆. It's definitely garbage for food prep, but as mentioned, a great little coin pocket box, packaging and letter opener.

    Austin, how does this little guy cut? Seems like a great box cutter to me that could live in a coin pocket in your jeans. As long as it cuts well. Thanks for the video, as always.

    Nice review on the ZT 0022. At 1.8oz, just can't get past having a longer blade like the Boos Smoke Mini and Mini-Bugout in my pocket ("in" pocket requires a much lighter weight than for a clipped knife for comfy carry, IMO). But in the tiny size, the ZT 0022 is so much nicer than ladybug, dragonfly, etc.
    The 0450, 0609, and 0470 are 3 of the best flippers in that ~3" size and weight range, from any production maker (from 2 of the best designers: Sinkevich, and RJ Martin). Not an accidental thing ESB had those available to compare! All excellent, IMHO.
    (The 0999 comparison: :D)

  • @timsmith2952
    @timsmith2952 Год назад

    Well the knife is still being made and in different variations so it can't be too bad of a seller. Your comment on there being a vocal minority that talks about wanting small knives but how do we know there's also not a vocal minority that wants 8 ounce ZT300s to be made again? Any time I see a ZT knife being reviewed people reminisce on the golden age of ZT where everything was full liners, weighed like a brick and had the cutting edge of a pry bar. But then I think that if ANY of that sold well ZT would likely still be making all their knives that way. I think the truth is that most people don't want to carry around heavy ass knives when they know they're likely not going to be doing anything where they are going to need to do some real hard use with them. At that point at which that exists most would just carry a fixed blade.

    Seems like a cool knife but it’s only for true fans because there are many cheaper options. I do like the copper version and am tempted by that

    The clip also serves as an overtravel stop. From what I understand MXG makes a better clip that does the same thing.

  • @davidmarshall7752

    This little one is fine but for micos I think I prefer the Reate T2500-- more blade & useful blade shape in M390, better fitment and clip design. But the ZT does have jimping on the tab which the Reate desperately needs.

      If you have really big hands like myself it can be a little hard to hold but not bad for such a little knife.

  • @randomguy3281

    I would buy this knife if it were $160... At $200 I am just not feeling it. Maybe I would get one if I find a good deal on a used one.
    I generally tend to carry larger knives, 3.75-4.5" range, but this is small enough to satisfy a novelty factor like the Rike Humingbird or an XL Espada.

      Knife Shark CPM 20CV is a clone of Bolher m390 and they are both very good supersteels. They have extraordinary edge retention and corrosion resistance. I think it’s one of the best steels on the market.

    I look forward to your videos, I like small knives but have found that I tend to have trouble manipulating them with old hands (arthritis.) The caveat is I carry a Spydie Dragonfly daily because it is so light and doesn't drag my gym shorts off. Afraid this one although nice to look at would not be carried that much. You asked for criticisms and this is not to bust your chops but could you please eliminate "you know" from a lot of your presentation please. Again not busting your chops. We all tend to use catch phrases because they are comfortable sentence fillers. Again I look forward to your videos and don't see enough of them. Thanks for taking your valuable time to entertain and enlighten us, Furbs.

    How is it compared to Benchmade 756 MICRO POCKET ROCKET?

    • @gadget5129
      @gadget5129 3 года назад

      Good luck finding the pocket rocket anywhere. There was one in stock at a local cutlery store several months ago. Gone now.
      So, I played with both the Benchmade and the ZT0022. The ZT felt better in my hand and fit more nicely into my watch pocket on my jeans. Though I wish it had a deep carry clip.
      I’m saving up for the ZT. Have some networking equipment to upgrade first.
      But I really like the ZT. When travel becomes a thing, I think it will make a great knife for a road warrior. At least for travel in the US. I don’t know the international laws that well. But I’d hesitate to carry any knife overseas.
