I’m an immigrant to Denmark and got my citizenship only a month ago, so I was very excited watching my first Melodi Grand Prix as a Dane. And I was not disappointed. I liked all the songs except the old lady in the hideous mermaid outfit. My favorite was Janus Wiberg with the Sad Boy song of the year and quite similar in style as my countryman Benson Boone (yes I kept my US citizenship as well) but this was my absolute second choice. And now I’m going to Malmö if it kills me cheering on beautiful Saba. KOM SÅ DANMARK.
Yes, the people voted Basim because he is very popular in Denmark. But maybe it is true that Saba´s Sand has bigger chances at Eurovision. It has that typical swedish sound that usually does well at Eurovision.
The people had Basim as the winner, but Saba won because of the jury. A good song, but I am not sure that it was better than Basim´s. But still a song that should qualify for the final, I think.
@@allanchristensen2688 But in any case, the song is clearly inspired by Loreen, because they hope that by "copying" the swedish concept, they will reach the final this year. Even though the song IS good and probably WILL reach the final, I also think that it is a little bit boring with all those similar songs that all sound a bit like Loreen and other swedish songs....
I don’t like this song. Don’t know why it’s just too commercial and cookie cutter. There’s nothing unique or different about it. Sad that Basim didn’t win with Johnny. It was 100 times more unique and interesting than this

@@JuventinoDOC33 I don't disagree..
@@JuventinoDOC33and Loreen copied last year a song from ukrainian singer Mika Newton. And so on.

Basims song is not unique. In Denmark It's as generic as this song.
Basim's song was so bad what are you on 😭😭😭😭
@@ptr9006 It wasn’t bad it was a great song I loved it. In the national final there were quite a few better than Saba.
