installing the motor did you need KO's own motor mount for the gearbox?

In a thew years you will be able to find old talaria and sur ron for just 2000 dollars and you will be able to mod it full ( motor battery and controlor) for 6 k you will have a monster e-bike !

Hi, have you noticed higher top speeds with this engine? does it really deliver the power that the factory claims?
Now there are all kinds of opinions about Ko moto production...
I am looking for a new engine for my talaria mx3. and they don't have a big selection like surron.

It made about 22 KW, You re right there's not much on the market which makes the motor one of the best options. 22 kw is really all you need wicked fan. Wouldn't buy ko controller though Terrible Throttle control makes it very hard to ride.

    Need a 21 up front?

      Don't NEED it....
I installed a 21 and love it, so much better over the rough terrain, more stable at speed, helps bring the front of the bike up and changes the geometry in a good way, in my opinion. Still have no problem throwing it into corners....
You will DEFINITELY notice the increase in rotating mass. If you go with a 21, you will need more power to be satisfied. Still running stock power myself, with a 58 tooth rear sprocket, tops out at just over 40mph. It's ok, but it needs more. Going to up the voltage to retain bottom end of power band and get higher top speed back. I need torque, but I also want to be able to hit at least 50-55 mph.
So yeah, 21 front is awesome, but you will feel the hit to acceleration. It is significant and surprised me. It's not the weight, but the diameter that gets you. I felt the 21 with a lightweight Mitas tire more than I felt the weight of installing a significantly heavier tube and tire onto the stock rear wheel, a 100/90 19 Trakmaster, which is also awesome.
