Listening to this along with that image, however... talk about bittersweet in the most appropriate form. :(

Iris is the Aerith of Megaman. Her purpose IS that she dies, so that Zero is reinvigorated toward the cause of destroying Sigma and Dr. Wily's dystopian dream even if it IS a seemingly losing battle. No Iris = Megaman Zero! ;)
@@christopherbravo1813 It was just a fleeting thought but I was just imagining what if Iris was the mother elf and if Zero got his closure on Iris's death when the mother elf is released in Zero 3 and Iris gets to exchange some last words with Zero for the very last time followed by X's Cyber elf dying as well. I wouldn't mind her staying dead but at least give Zero some closure on it.

@@metalspinda9594 Megaman Zero = countless humans and reploids being slaughtered and the world being subjected to a biomechanical dictatorship that leads to further conflict and decline. yeah, if Iris living prevents that from happening, then that's fine by me.
I think the localized version fits the ending more, but this is really nice as well. But the other version takes the place as my favorite ending song of the series
it's a good song, but i gotta say it's too upbeat to be the credits song to a game like x4, just saying, great song, and i do love x4, bad voice acting aside, but i don't think this fits very well, especially for zero's case.
I expected the song to be more of a tragic one, considering the title and it's status as an ending theme. but maybe it's supposed to convey a sense of hope?

I think it fits. It might be upbeat but there's this melancholic feel to it, and I also think It conveys some hope for the Hunters, mostly Zero
