    I just found your video and it is the best of the "bunny from a square" that are available. The shaping details really make it superior to the rest as does your clear instruction. Glad I found it.

    I just found your channel and I knit for charity, so these bunnies are perfect to sell! I just loved the finishings of your bunny, and I love the bigger ones too! Can't wait to see what else you make! Thank you x

      Hi Jan,
      I'm really pleased you enjoyed the video.
      The bunnies are great for selling and can be embellished in all kinds of ways. A group of us made a load for a community event where we hid them all over the area for kids to find and keep. We made little labels with a little back story for that bunny and let the kids name them. It was lovely seeing the older kids finding more than one then guiding the smaller ones to them, or putting them back for the littlies.
      Have fun with your making.
      Rachael

    What a wonderful pattern and idea! Thank you!! I used felted squares from wool jumpers to make mine and I put a handful of navy beans inside the lower body to make her stand up! It worked so well!

      A good innovation. Thread can be quite harsh so yarn or embroidery thread is a good alternative - well spotted!

    How did you get your piece so flat? I’m knotting in stockinnette stitch and my piece is curled up.

    • @HKapril9
      @HKapril9 4 года назад +1

      Novice knitter here. I am of the impression that stockinette stitch inherently has some curl. If you want something flat, I suggest garter stitch. It’s what I made *my* bunny out of tonight.

    Could you also use the wool as a thread, instead of cotton thread, when sculpting the face and sewing up the neck and back behind the ears to close the openings ?

    • @rachaelgreenland5233
      @rachaelgreenland5233 Год назад +1

      Hi,
      If you check your yarn for strength and are happy that it won’t snap when you’re pulling it tight, then there’s no reason why not.

    What is the color of the thread please? Thank you for a wonderful video.

    • @rachaelgreenland
      @rachaelgreenland  2 года назад

      Try to match the colour to the colour of the yarn you used to knit the square, or at least the same tone. The shaping thread needs to blend in and not be obvious.

  • @macysmith9673
    @macysmith9673 2 года назад

    how many cast on stitches do you need for the square?

    • @rachaelgreenland5233
      @rachaelgreenland5233 2 года назад

      Hi Macy,
      The stitches will very much depend on the yarn you’re using - so thicker yarn will need fewer stitches and thinner will need more.
      If you take a look at the band around the yarn there’s a lot of information on there, including the numbers of stitches to make an inch so you should be able to work out how many cast on stitches are needed from that.
      I hope that helps and wasn’t too vague!
      Have fun. R
