I quit BDO 2 months ago and returned to GW 2, best decision i made in my life. I hope u enjoy and stay long Blue! Is a nice game that respect players and their time.
Same. I have not played GW2 for almost 9 years, stopped just after HoT. I have quit bdo 2 weeks before loml2 and installed GW2 back and I am having the time of my fucking life. This game is a treasure trove of 12 tears of content. BDO in a comparable amount of time has added a fraction of what GW2 has accomplished, it's not even funny. Cheers to you, fellow gw2 gamer.

GW2 is great for it is. But dont go into it thinking you're gonna get stronger with gear like in BDO. There is no gear enhancement beyond the quality and sigils basically. Everything levels out at max level, what determines your damage is mainly your build. Fashion is huge late game.

There are so many hidden secrets and jumping puzzles to discover some of which are directly tied into post max level progression. But my favorite are meta events, where you push through event chains spanning an entire zone with 50+ people and fight a giant world boss at the end. And you can do those all day, if you want, there are pretty much always enough people for most of them, even the ones that are a decade old at this point.
Ah, its unfortunately you didnt experience world boss on your first time. Mostly newplayers can experience world boss on their first play at that first map. It located around th southeast of the maps in every 2 hours cycle.

As someone who has done PvP in many MMOs, Gw2 is by far one of the best if not the best imo. Mainly because of the combat system that mixes tab target with some action combat dynamics. And yah, I had like 3k hours in BDO, not a hardcore PvPer, but as soon as you get familiar with your class is not really that hard (unless you play ninja). In Gw2 you have a lower skill floor for most classes in comparison to something like BDO, but many classes have a ridiculous skill ceiling, it would take you more hours of game time in becoming a good catalyst or chronomancer in PvP for example than it would take you to become a good ninja in BDO, this in part is because of the buildcrafting aspect of the game, which can make the complexity beyond the scope of a combat so straightforward like BDOs (and yah, I do think BDO's combat is straightforward after you get used to your class). TLDR: I'm not shitting on BDO (enjoyed the game a lot), but while BDO has a higher skill floor in general Gw2 has a higher skill ceiling.
Really glad more people are having fun discovering Guild Wars 2! Just 3 tips: - merchants have a "sell junk" button, that automatically sells all useless items in your inventory - top-right 3 icons of the inventory are really helpful, just check 'em out - heart quests are area based, no need to interact with the NPC (aside for lore of the zone)
Hey Baldemord, love your Vids, never commented but when i hear Felbeasts are Nazgul, my autism kicks. Reflect a Book from your Bald head next time, Nazgul are Ringwraiths aka the nine Kings with the rings. Love from Germany!
❤Bro.. ohh. "Not as good combat as in BDO..." ohhh ohh... I don't know what exactly you meant (maybe graphics) but GW2 has MUCH more skillbased and deepest combat system than BDO. And this is even despite the fact that GW2 is NOT about PVP. Its more about insane exploring/adventures/pazzles/hundreds class builds/fashion/roleplay & some 220+ hrs story + social aspect. But for PVP and WvW modes they have different "systems" wich makes this game looks pretty balanced compairing to some others MMO's. (And sometimes it takes more time to master some class than mastering all WoW classes in total. For example some specs of Elementalist, Engineer, Thief etc)
Quitted BDO almost 2 year ago as 700+GS, went to start GW2 and played around 6months and stop playing both games. Now I'm back to picking a MMORPG, I'm still choosing GW2 over BDO, BDO update changes are too fast paced and hard to keep up with gearing up, while GW2 release sufficient updates from expansions and your gear is easily capped and it will stay with you forever. The experience hit different between the two games, BDO is just repeatedly farming the same thing, while GW2 can do tons of different thing likes tons of different META/map exploration/achievements. But still for PVP gameplay no other game can beat BDO in graphic and mechanics.
For Dragonhunter, you don't have to use a bow though. Can use a big sword instead. ANet messed up with Mechanist. Not only does the mech does all the work, but the skills you get as Mechanist as signets (aka: passive buffs). It's the class that plays itself without needing you to do anything. The skills should have been commands for the mech. The server they made you pick at the start is meaningless nowadays. It serves absolutely no purpose and is probably left here because spaghetti legacy code.
You made a mistake skipping Necro... I main Ranger... But Necro is my First Alt.... And it lets me do more than my main.... But I love my Main... Necro is fun, strong, a good way to learn GW's 2. Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you play DO NOT have people tell you what to do in game.... Play your own way and enjoy it at your own pace PLEASE
People straight up thinking about graphics is the issue with gaming right now, Guild Wars 2 is an insane mmorpg, with insane story, combat and buildcraft, pvp and pve endgame content. something that mmorpgs with insane graphics don't have at all. I choose gw2 100 times more than BDO
The thing about humans is that what you see on the character creation screen is what they like to say about themselves. The reality is that they're aliens that literally came from another plane of existence and were brought to Tyria by their gods to escape some unknown cataclysm. Like any other invasive species, they carved their niche in the ecosystem by violence, colonialism and one case of colonialism + attempted genocide, all at the urging of their god of war who's like the least chill person you can imagine. The oldest of the gods was only against these methods because of concerns that they would come back to bite humans in the ass rather than any moral and ethical concerns. It has to be said that the one who held the seat in the original human homeworld was his brother, and he was even less chill. The current one killed him. This is buried deep in the in-game lore and never presented in the open.
I miss playing this game, it just didn't appeal to me that well. However, this is my backup game whenever BDO is unavailable to play. I main the Revenant and Ranger classes. I love Revenant because the weapons it wields (twin swords, sword and shield). Ranger is for my Waifu Princess theme. 😅
How does this content creator enjoy any game that is new to him, when he starts playing them with such preconceptions and uninformed opinions? I’ll be very surprised if he lasts more than a few days before he rage quits and blames the game for his misunderstanding of how it works. This video appears to show him exhibiting most of the typical worst behaviors that people assume gamers to have. He’s a Meme of a typical gamer. My advice (though I doubt this guy listens to any advice from anyone), is to begin any game that is new to you, with as open a mind as you can manage to make for yourself. Don’t compare a new game to anything else and just enjoy it for what it is, not how it compares to something else.
and then, the big awakening will hit.... grind events over and over, grind fractals and raids over and over again (daily/weekly) "grind" wvw over and over again :D but hey lets go rant bdo !
Engineer Scrapper is the most fun PvP play class you stun enemies with throwing a wrench at them, you throw calthroups for fleed and slow, and you throw a elixir to turn enemies into birds, at the same time you can bust your speed and boost jump with a shotgun, most fun class I had in PvP arenas in that game 😊😊😊
Awesome to see another mmo gamer trying out gw2 and liking it! Unfortunately as most content creators , you have so many of your fans and viewers joining you in game which can ruin your early impressions of the game since they will make everything die super super fast. Highly recommend trying to play a bit while you arent streaming.
fuuu gotta be honest xD some of the parts were really difficult to watch, some Clueless ADHD moments feeling like u r catching a train in 3 minutes late and heard about games from a hobo next to the door there, BUT thats what makes it funny o7
Its a shame to play GW2 as a solo player tho. Probably one of the better MMOrpgs to play with a guild/friend. The leveling system is pretty flexible too
I need to add these. sorry for not watching the whole video but there is an action camera mode where it feels much smoother gameplay for me. definitely check that out. Also I recommend for you to check the post processing options especially bloom and stuff. it changes everything. I hope you will have a great time. Also play at your own pace, you dont need to rush thing in the game which is great imo.
Man Watching people start up this game and first building a character just makes me want to run a new character so bad and take decades on the creator. It's so good a feeling
It feels good when streamers finally decide to play GW2 and fall in love with it. It always shocks me like if this game was hidden... It's the GEM of mmos
The starter Zone is from the (still nice) 10 years old stuff, the expansions really improved the formulas. And with no level increase all the stuff that came over the years is still playable so there is a ot of pve content overall and they gave players to visit at least the boses of each zone from time to time.
Queueing up for an unranked with what might as well basically be just +7 weapons and reblath gear on and not knowing how to swap weapons is like taking an awakening off while being an awakening build. This can only go well!! 🤣 Edit: GW2 does new player experience pretty well, a lot better than bdo imo.
Herald the class where you buff heal damage sustain and look cool doing all that at the same time.... It's the jack of all trades..but jack mastered all the trades.
The games pretty well balanced, not nearly as expensive as bdo, and its very easy to level and gear multiple characters, you dont have to stay dedicated to one or two characters.
Steam population have no meaning because it was added to Steam just a few years ago. Most players in the game is using the gamelauncher and not Steam since they got the game long time before it was added to Steam.
GuildWars 2 will bore you in weeks, is a game with bad combat system, characters moves bad, skills works bad and bad animations.... GuildWars 1 was best corpg game, but GW2 sucks, GW2 is a game for casuals, for lazy players, for ppl who accept bad quality, bad creations....
@@themaniac8596 u were not born when i started playing mmos..., im talking from experiences during decades GuildWars 2 is trash, GuildWars 1 was unique, shame anet abandoned the project for the new trash wich does not have GuildWars on it. Also at the end...he just threw away a bag inventory he got in mail...also please someone tell him to sell junk not throw away unless you can't sell it...
He'll figure it out, anyone who can wrap their head around BDO will get the hang of GW2's systems before long. It's complex but nowhere near BDO complex.
Every day I debate on coming back to GW2. I miss my Engineer. Hope you enjoy the game as much as I did back in the old Tarnished Coast days. Vojin out.
Also, I don't know if it changed, but if you're looking to get into the WvW scene, they used to have server based TS/vent/mumble, but I guess now they might have moved to discords. So you'll probably want to find out if the server you're on has a discord.
@@MastaPanda yeah mostly discord nowadays and servers dont exist anymore you select a dedicated guild for wvw and you get put into a team so the matchups are more varied not the same guild grps per server every reset

❤Bro..
All the people obstructing his view and throwing fireballs are really painful to watch
Oh shit dude I’m so here for u to play gw2
Don’t compare a new game to anything else and just enjoy it for what it is, not how it compares to something else.
and then, the big awakening will hit....
grind events over and over, grind fractals and raids over and over again (daily/weekly)
"grind" wvw over and over again :D but hey lets go rant bdo !
1. Stop throwing stuff away lol rip 18 slot bag.
2. gw2 wiki is your friend. :)
Think i might jump back into gw2, bdo is getting boring again. lol
Watching you do PvP had me crying with laughter. Welcome to GW2. I hope you'll stay around a bit. WvW is the best content there is!
this might be the worst first impression of this game with bunch of his viewers ruining his experience 👎
I know throne and liberty is out but im gonna sub anyway on the off chance you return to this game in the future, was an entertaining video.
Man
Watching people start up this game and first building a character just makes me want to run a new character so bad and take decades on the creator.
Edit: GW2 does new player experience pretty well, a lot better than bdo imo.
Herald the class where you buff heal damage sustain and look cool doing all that at the same time.... It's the jack of all trades..but jack mastered all the trades.
I got to GW2 after BDO sucked the soul out of me, best decision ever. Go for GW2 you'll feel better
BDO vets being like an elite war race that became homeless and searching for a new home. Basically crimson desert lore.
I didn't see anyone mention it, but the music is so good because the base game is scored by Jeremy Soule of Elder Scrolls fame:)
The games pretty well balanced, not nearly as expensive as bdo, and its very easy to level and gear multiple characters, you dont have to stay dedicated to one or two characters.
Yeah this makes me want to get back into it again great game wich does not punish long breaks.
Steam population have no meaning because it was added to Steam just a few years ago. Most players in the game is using the gamelauncher and not Steam since they got the game long time before it was added to Steam.
I would still be playing the masterpiece that is GW2, if not for the lack of Oceanic or Asian servers.
same, asianbros are cucked by latency
Interesting. My favorite content creator starts playing my favorite MMORPG.
Hey blue it is Orbeffect, I think you are going to enjoy shot calling WvW in guildwars2
I'd say 30 to 50 hours to go from 0-80 and get an elite spec without using hella boosts
More GW2. Great to see you branch out of BDO.
More to come this week for sure! Super fun!
@@bluesquadronliveOnce you get your bis make a world v world guild. I'd love to see you shotcalling 😂
FYI the firebrand armor you like is the legendary Perfected Envoy armor.
ngl i just drop bdo and come to play gw2 and its been a month it was a very fun mmo to play one thing i wish was i find out gw2 this fun earlier
Nice to see you try GW2 and I see you're enjoying yourself. 10/10
Why is it that streamers can read english in chat but lose the ability when it comes to any text that appears in a tool tip in game?🤣
I am playing old school runescape on my s23 ultra while watching this video.
gw2 population on steam are only for people who played on steam, old players will not reflect on that data.
to be fair you did skip the entire portion of the character creator where you could customize the character ^^
I guess by now you know that you can use any race and either gender for any class you choose to play.
Save yourself hundreds of hours by a cosmetic than Uninstal the game.
we need more of this content. plz continue to play.
All mounts are earned you will get the raptor mount at level 10 to take for a spin
Classic Blue "relates everything back to bdo" Squadron
On the bright side your started with BDO so your already use to the P2W
GuildWars 2 will bore you in weeks, is a game with bad combat system, characters moves bad, skills works bad and bad animations....
GuildWars 1 was best corpg game, but GW2 sucks, GW2 is a game for casuals, for lazy players, for ppl who accept bad quality, bad creations....
@@themaniac8596 u were not born when i started playing mmos..., im talking from experiences during decades
GuildWars 2 is trash, GuildWars 1 was unique, shame anet abandoned the project for the new trash wich does not have GuildWars on it.
BDO is top right now, quality, combat system, pve, the only negatives on bdo is the p2w elements and the bad dungeons and bad pvp system.
sorry but your opinion is invalid
Someone obviously died to starter mobs and immediately uninstalled. Thats making the huge assumption that you ever played it to begin with. Lmao
@@Okada一IZŌ Go back to trash GuildWars 2
Dude u gotta play that game on 1440p, it's hella dope.
blue has met his match as a content creator its just like him but for GW2
just wait to see the expansions.. damn they look gorgeous
THat armour is legendary armour YOu need to raid to get that armour Its so hard to get
I hope you join the WVW scene
So the characters are only girls?
GW2 AMAZING BRO COME TO WVW YOU GONNA COOK.
I want see Blue in ff14 as a cat boy badly
What figure is that behind the guy?
