Don't get me wrong, my team recently won a ring and I'm incredibly proud of that team. But in my opinion some of the newer rings are getting increasingly gaudy and tacky (you know, as far as championship rings go). I am more of a fan of rings that try to remain classy, simple, but still represent the colors or certain elements unique to the team and celebrate their accomplishments. I hope if my team wins another ring soon, they go for something like that.
True very true, the rings are beautiful Don't get me wrong, but why do they have to have the ring hollowed inside for more designs? Its not like the players are going to have the ring without of the cover?
I 100% agree they should have the outside look of some of the old school rings but I do kinda like the look of the field on the inside but yes more details doesn't necessarily mean better like the recent rings have done
The packers won the NFL championship before the first super bowl, so there are three diamonds on the sb2 ring. They won the '65 championship, sb1, and sb2. Also, the small diamonds around the outside of the dolphins' ring show 16 wins, and the one in the middle shows the 17th. Also, the Rams and Colts' 2nd sb rings only have 1 Lombardi because it was their 1st sb in a new city
Thank you for telling him this because I was about to though I still explained to him the green bay ring. If your gonna rank super bowl rings you would think they would know all the info behind it. Even the jets ring he talked about had the huge diamond in the middle signifying the super bowl & the other smaller diamonds were only for the football shape which he didn't get
13:22 The reason because the Colts organization wants to distance itself from the "Baltimore Colts" so, the single Lombardi is a representation of "Indianapolis"
It looks great, but the fact the Rams put part of the turf & footballs used in the superbowl into their ring tips it in their favor. In my opinion of course.
Yeah, definitely at a first glance I would say the Eagles' is the best, but the fact that you can open up the ring and it has more inside with the bucs and rams rings, that puts them just a little above imo. (I'm an Eagles fan btw)
@@HeapsYT #7 it says "Packers". But it was a Seahawks win. Other than that, great vid. I really like the KC ring at #5. Just a good looking ring. Who wins the Super Bowl this season? 🤔
The eye of the Seahawks ring is an emerald not an amethyst because Seattle’s nickname Is the emerald city, also Green Bay’s 2nd ring has 3 diamonds because it’s was their 3 championship In a row (the first and only team to ever do so) the first was in 1965 1 year before the first Super Bowl
NFL championships don’t count as superbowls. That is why is not in the record books. There has not been a 3 peat in professional football in the Super Bowl era as of yet.
But these are Super Bowl rings. Not NFC-AFC Championship rings. The Packers may have won the league 3 years in a row. But they only won two Super Bowls in a row.
One thing I think is really cool that you didn’t mention is the fact that the 72 dolphins ring has 17 diamonds, 16 smaller ones on the outside that symbolizes their 16-0 regular season and playoff record, and one central diamond symbolizing their super bowl victory.
I am biased as an Eagles fan but I do think our ring looks the best. Glad to see other people like it too. I even own a replica of it! There are some cool features not immediately obvious, such as a dog engraved on the inside of the ring (representing the "underdog" mentality of the run). I also like the shape of it, I am not a fan of the ones that are super elongated rectangles like the Jets one.
I’ve watched all four of your Rings video and it seems like the NFL have had the best (modern) designed rings. I think my favorite is the Broncos Super Bowl 50 ring. The logo is perfect (compared to their previous two rings), has color, features the Super Bowl logo, references the three franchise championships and is nicely fat and gaudy like every modern ring should be lol.
The "column" like design on the SB35 Ravens ring is meant to give the effect of a football field. See how the endzones are filled with diamonds? It's essentially a football field with a logo that's the size of the whole field lol
Diehard Niner fan here, so it pains me to admit this, but I'd put Pittsburgh's 6th ring from SB43 at number 1. It has the best of the classic ring design and new school diamond-heavy look meshed together nicely.
The 2nd Colts ring probably doesn't have 2 championships represented, because the original Colts ownership traded the their franchise to get the LA Rams. And it's their first in Indianapolis. Which brings up a whole interesting story. The lost Lombardi of Super Bowl 5. The Rosenbloom family took it with them to LA. Supposedly Georgia Frontiere had it in her possession. A replica was made for Baltimore. Which may have been siezed by the city, so the trophy didn't go to Indianapolis.
When I first heard the vague details of the story about how and why they moved to Indy, it was made to seem like it was all about owner greed and power moves. There is a lot more to it than just these however. First the city would not do anything to help in improving the dismal stadium situation in Baltimore. Then they wanted to do an eminent domain move against the ownership so that the government would claim the Colts, which did seem possible due to a reluctance at the time for the NFL to go to court about relocations because of Al Davis and his move to LA. The lawsuit in addition to a sudden breakdown in talks with Phoenix on March 28 about relocation, meant that either a sudden move out to Indy or a government takeover was to happen. The law was being fastracked through the legislature on March 27. So that is why the early morning of the 29th, they got out FAST, even having multiple routes planned because state police were trying to stop them. At this point for all intents and purposes, the Colts of Indy are no longer that of Baltimore because of some incredibly shady and greedy moves by all parties. Most of these rings were designed and made by Jostens. The Colts ring was designed and made by Herff Jones. Jim Irsay, the owner of the Colts, wanted them to make it because they are local and located a few miles from the Colts complex
My son worked for the Kansas City Chiefs during their 2019-2020 Super Bowl run and has his own Super Bowl ring (everyone at the stadium does, in fact). It's GORGEOUS (#5 on this list) and the pix hardly do it justice. (Yes, I've had it on my finger, and no, it doesn't actually fit.) What wasn't mentioned in the video is that the recipient's name is spelled out on the side, along with many other features, like the final score, and INSIDE the bottom of the ring are engraved the three playoff scores the Chiefs CAME FROM BEHIND to win, in order to get to the Super Bowl... He also has an AFC championship ring from the following year, when they went to the Super Bowl but lost. I didn't know you GOT a ring for winning the AFC championship, and the ring isn't all that impressive (the SB ring is the really impressive one), but I LOVE the idea of rings that OPEN UP to show the stadium! THERE'S an idea worth continuing on...
I believe the Colts gave all of their employees rings as well. But they broke them down to tiers. Tier 1 is what the players, coaches, and executives got. Tier 2 is what most the trainers and assistants got. Tier 3 is what rest of the employees got. Tier 2 and 3 were a lot less flashy and not as impressive as tier 1 was. Basically they were replicas.
@Ryan Bond My son's ring was the B level ring... only the players and coaches got the A rings. His does have real rubies, just not real diamonds, like the A rings have. Other than that, it's identical. And it would still cost a small fortune to replace.
@Susan Sloate that's awesome they gave him a ring. Jim Irsay did give out 5 tier 1 rings to 5 lucky fans who participated in the treasure hunt. He either placed them or placed a voucher throughout the city. You had to keep finding clues that led you to the next one and to the next one and so on and so until you reached the end. He made the fans work for them but if you got the clues and understood where the next clue was it was well worth at the end.
2:46 the reason for the 3 diamonds is because while it’s the Packers second Super Bowl, it’s their third championship in a row, which is why they had 3 diamonds to represent the year before the Super Bowl and then the first 2 super bowls.
Rams Literally Copied Tampa for the super bowl 56 Ring Bucs 55 Ring was the first of its kind the first super bowl team at there home stadium Tampa bay 2002 Super bowl 37 Ring was simple cause Tampa had no money at the time to make a better ring
I agree, as far as innovation and revolutionizing the ring industry goes, Tampa easily has the upper hand. Objectively looking at these rings comparably, the Rams ring just offers more.
#25 The Packers’ Super Bowl XXXI ring. Helps to know your history. Around the curve of the G are 12 diamonds, representing the 12 NFL Championships the Packers have won (most in league history…now, with their XLV win, it is at 13). The three diamonds in the line of the G could be representing the Lombardis, or they could just be to fill out the G. At any rate, Green Bay is really proud of its total number of championships
I greatly appreciate this info, and I make sure to address it in the new updated ring video that came out yesterday! ruclips.net/video/IUxizksefcI/видео.html
The Green Bay Packers Super Bowl 2 Ring has three Diamonds because they won three NFL championships in Row!! Yes the NFL existed before the the Super Bowl era started!! They won the The 1965 NFL Championship-Super Bowl 1 and then Super Bowl 2. My Green Bay Packers are the only NFL team to ever win 3 in a row!!

As an Eagles fan I know if we had the technology to do the 2nd layer, our ring would've certainly been number 1. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll be able to retract this comment and see the true beauty of a new ring again x) With that said though your rankings are amazing on this video, although I really loved the Jets ring that you kept bashing 😭
I 100% agree with you. The Eagles ring looks the best in my opinion, and with today's technology, the layering would've easily propelled it to #1. Here's to hoping for another great looking Eagles ring this season!
Now we’ll have to see who wins Super Bowl LVII & what the ring will look like in the summer of 2023 Edit: Chiefs Super Bowl LVII ring contains 609 diamonds.
That 'grill' behind the Ravens logo (#31 in your count) is obviously the gridiron of a football field, with small diamonds representing the end zones. #55 DOES represent both Steelers colors - black and gold. They just didn't want to put golden yellow paint over actual metallic gold the ring is made from...because that would be stupid.
You keep saying the 49er rings have no team color represented... Um, gold IS their primary color. The entire ring's color is a representation of their team name, city history, and state.
I'm sorry but some of the newer rings are so gaudy looking that it takes away from other details for me. For example your #1&2 are revolutionary yes but if you just look on the outside it is an eyesore and sometimes simple is just better in my opinion
Eagles is the best. Better make sure don’t catch the front part of Bucs 2020 & Rams 21 rings, as u might lose it, and left with just the ring finger piece 😂
As a lifelong 49ers fan, I have to say that the Rings don't really look that spectacular! My favorite has actually been the Giants 2011 and the Chiefs 2019 ring
Old rings were designed so that they could be worn as personal jewelry, whereas those rings today looks like they're designed specifically for trophy case display.
I used to work for the company that made a bunch of these Super Bowl rings, plus those for World Series and NBA championships. Balfour used to make them but the company was sold back in the mid 1990s and left the town in which the business was founded, Attleboro, Massachusetts. I worked in their computer room.
@@HeapsYT No, I wasn't. All we did in the computer room was have some information about who the rings were going to onto envelopes. The building, and the small building on the other side of the parking lot, which was used to store computer data tapes, were torn down when the company moved.
Wait until the newest ring won by the Kansas City Chiefs is revealed! There 3rd, with that’s modern and new ways to create, also adding one ☝️ of thee best Super Bowls ever played! Why does the Packers Super Bowl II ring have three diamonds? Because it was actually their THIRD CONSECUTIVE championship. The first of the three coming before the Super Bowl era.
No matter how glamorous the rings may look; they all stand for the same thing. "AFL-NFL World Champions" (later called The Superbowl Champions). The 1966 Packer's Championship ring will always be the first "Championship Ring". It paved the way for all the others that followed and those that will follow.
The Packers Super-Bowl II ring has three diamonds because that was their third consecutive NFL championship. The Packers are the only franchise ever to threepeat the NFL, and they have done it twice (1929-1931 and 1965-1967).
I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but the Packers SBII ring has 3 diamonds because it was their third straight NFL championship. Green Bay won the NFL title the year before the first Super Bowl was played, and then won the first two SB's, hence 3 diamonds. The Packers are the only team to win 3 straight NFL championships, and they did it twice, from 1929 to 1931, and again from 1965 to 1967.
Hmmm...Yes. these rings look beautiful. UNTIL, you see the size of them. Big Gaudy Rings on a finger to me looks horrible. No matter how 'Well' they are made. The Rings IMO need to be the size of a Class Ring to Look Good.
Yeah I agree but the detail of RJ being on the inside with the scores of the road games they had to win leading up to the first ever home superbowl illustrated by the large diamond on the home tunnel 🤌 makes up for the undersized logo imo
13:50 This ring should be black and white striped background... for the refs... as they were the reason Steelers won that game. (Only Super Bowl where officials apologized after the game--it was THAT bad.)
Nice video. Yet I have 2 objections, one technical and the other opinion. 1. Diamonds are not "crystals." Now yes (for all you technical folks) although diamond is a crystalline form of carbon, describing a piece of jewelry with the word crystal implies it is not a gemstone, let alone a diamond. 2. I believe that Tampa Bay's 2nd SB ring is the best ever. LA simply ripped off the Buc's design and created a hideous monstrosity of Uber Bling. And as a gemologist and jeweler, the LA ring is not even practical to wear because all jewelry needs to be cleaned. Let's see how that "game used" slice of football - essentially pig leather - stands up to even a light cleaning, because the leather will eventually swell and distort, breaking away from whatever adhesive was used to secure it to the gold base.
I Have a New UPDATED Version of this list out! Make sure to watch it: ruclips.net/video/IUxizksefcI/видео.html

I didn't know you GOT a ring for winning the AFC championship, and the ring isn't all that impressive (the SB ring is the really impressive one), but I LOVE the idea of rings that OPEN UP to show the stadium! THERE'S an idea worth continuing on...
That's awesome man! I'm glad the organization gave your son a ring, that's an awesome privilege!
@@HeapsYT I think Cheerleaders get Rings also
I believe the Colts gave all of their employees rings as well.
I can't wait to see the Chiefs 3rd ring!
Here's the new ranking with they're ring! ruclips.net/video/IUxizksefcI/видео.html
2:46 the reason for the 3 diamonds is because while it’s the Packers second Super Bowl, it’s their third championship in a row, which is why they had 3 diamonds to represent the year before the Super Bowl and then the first 2 super bowls.
Can't wait to see the Chiefs' third ring from this year....
Here's the new ranking with they're ring! ruclips.net/video/IUxizksefcI/видео.html
Rams Literally Copied Tampa for the super bowl 56 Ring
Bucs 55 Ring was the first of its kind the first super bowl team at there home stadium
Tampa bay 2002 Super bowl 37 Ring was simple cause Tampa had no money at the time to make a better ring
I agree, as far as innovation and revolutionizing the ring industry goes, Tampa easily has the upper hand. Objectively looking at these rings comparably, the Rams ring just offers more.
I wish my browns had a ring… this I what I get being a browns fan isn’t it.
I’m rooting for you guys 🫡
Having the 2013-14 Seahawks win misspelled as packers proves this guy knows what’s up. We were ROBBED that year
LOL how many times were you robbed?
Is now that there's fifty seven are you going to make another one like it.
I really like the SB 44 Saints ring, that might be my favorite. Rams ring and Eagles ring are also fantastic
All great rings!
He's been told this including from me
The last two clearly the best now they need to make one for my 49ers this
Dude…not crystals…they’re all diamonds!
i really like the channel shoutout with people who made similar videos prior , you clearly drew inspiration and pretty much cited your sources , class !
That Eagles ring is amazing
As an Eagles fan I know if we had the technology to do the 2nd layer, our ring would've certainly been number 1. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll be able to retract this comment and see the true beauty of a new ring again x)
With that said though your rankings are amazing on this video, although I really loved the Jets ring that you kept bashing 😭
I 100% agree with you. The Eagles ring looks the best in my opinion, and with today's technology, the layering would've easily propelled it to #1. Here's to hoping for another great looking Eagles ring this season!
@@HeapsYT ❤️
philly is a chit hole ...
Nope
#4 Damn That Ring Chunky!!
The most recent Rams and Buccaneers rings are the best.
Super Bowl 50 Denver Broncos is the best ring of all-time
Eagles from 2018 is far better
Interesting how the la rams ring looks exactly like the bucs
Same jeweler designed em both
Now we’ll have to see who wins Super Bowl LVII & what the ring will look like in the summer of 2023
Edit: Chiefs Super Bowl LVII ring contains 609 diamonds.
The steelers have the infinity ring.
I’d say pretty accurate
15:19 “Winner: Packers”
The Bucs is by far better!!
Coming from a Cowboys fan, That Eagles ring is absolutely the most beautiful.
Same here. Stunning ring.
I definitely see where you're coming from!
@@HeapsYT Thanks for replying but I will admit as a Giants fan that Eagles ring is just wow
Bucs ring is the best ring.
15:23 the winner was seahawks
Danggg I’m ticked, thanks for pointing that out! 😅
Mann u 10 rings in the thumbnail but not one for Americas Team. I’m calling hater.
It's the 10 most recent rings 🤣
And
Old rings were designed so that they could be worn as personal jewelry, whereas those rings today looks like they're designed specifically for trophy case display.
Agreed!! A player could actually wear it. New ones are very ornate but it’s like an egg 🥚 on the finger.
The 3 diamonds on the Super Bowl II ring is for the Packers 3 straight NFL championship (from 1965 to 1967)
I used to work for the company that made a bunch of these Super Bowl rings, plus those for World Series and NBA championships. Balfour used to make them but the company was sold back in the mid 1990s and left the town in which the business was founded, Attleboro, Massachusetts. I worked in their computer room.
That's awesome stuff man, thanks for sharing! Were you part of the designing process?
@@HeapsYT No, I wasn't. All we did in the computer room was have some information about who the rings were going to onto envelopes. The building, and the small building on the other side of the parking lot, which was used to store computer data tapes, were torn down when the company moved.
@@captaincarl8230 That's still pretty cool that you were involved in some part of the overall ring process!
@@HeapsYT One more thing, we used to get to see the designs and the prototypes of the rings that were being made.
The miami dolphins ring from 72' had 16 diamonds surrounding and one in center to mark their 17-0 undefeated season. Counting post season games
When I was a kid, my dad knew Ray Nitschke... he used to let me hold his Super Bowl ring from the very first super bowl. He was a really nice man.
Wait until the newest ring won by the Kansas City Chiefs is revealed! There 3rd, with that’s modern and new ways to create, also adding one ☝️ of thee best Super Bowls ever played! Take that Tampa plus the rams, mix them with the second chiefs ring, and oh boy it’s going to be amazing! I’m actually thinking about, that game now! It was so awesome! Can’t wait to see that ring! Love my Kansas City Chiefs!
I just made the updated video with the Chiefs in them if you'd like to check it out! ruclips.net/video/IUxizksefcI/видео.html
New chiefs ring about to blow these away
I just added them to the new updated video! ruclips.net/video/IUxizksefcI/видео.html
Hmmm...Yes. these rings look beautiful.
UNTIL, you see the size of them.
Big Gaudy Rings on a finger to me looks horrible.
No matter how 'Well' they are made.
The Rings IMO need to be the size of a Class Ring to Look Good.
The Colts 2nd ring only has 1 Lombardi due to to it being the first ring won in Indianapolis while the other one was when they were in Baltimore.
👀🖤🏈
The Packers Super Bowl II ring has three center diamonds, because they won three consecutive championships. The NFL existed before the Super Bowl.
The problem with the buccaneers second ring is that the logo is not big enough.
13:24 Cause they Indianapolis Colts didn't have a Super Bowl.. Baltimore sure did... This was Indianapolis Colts First...
Let's see how that "game used" slice of football - essentially pig leather - stands up to even a light cleaning, because the leather will eventually swell and distort, breaking away from whatever adhesive was used to secure it to the gold base.
thats kelly green on the jets not turquise. It was the 3rd straight Packers championship. Its first in Indianapolis. Thats why only the one.
The browns ring is lit 🔥
That Rams ring is WAY to fuckin big 😂 these football players are monsters with massive hands and it STILL looks ridiculously too big lol.
the chiefs third one will be atop this list pretty soon…
L
