I wonder how much the affect of awe in Asian vs American cultures might be due to knowledge about the phenomena shown in the video. Ms Stellar did not mention this aspect of the investigation - hopefully the intervening years of further investigation would consider this. Knowledge about the phenomena would tend to induce respect for its power and uniqueness while lack of knowledge would induce fear!!
