Linde E1 E-Kart / Electric Kart World Record Drive to Guinness Book

Built out of standard components of the new Linde E20 - E50 forklift truck series (the kart drive motor i.e. is the lifting motor of the forklift truck!!!) the Linde E1 electric kart clearly undershoots the Guinness Book requirements (7 seconds) by half.
The back and forth drive resulted in 3.5 and 3.4 seconds to accelerate to 60 mph and ended up at 3.45 seconds. The event took place at the ADAC Masters Weekend at Moto-Arena Oschersleben on Easter Sunday, April 24th 2010.
