Open an Outlook account, creat an Outlook mail address, download Android outlook, add you ms account, change address in the phone book from Google to MS, Add to you Office 2016 or 2019 your Outlook account an it will be fine. Sync addresses will take sometime a long time1,2... h but it will work. Delete google addresses and make first an back up!!!

The autocomplete should pull in from your contacts list. You shouldn't have to go to address book in order to find a contact. Your pst might need to be indexed in order for the contacts to auto complete. If it doesn't get better after a day or two post back and I'll try it again on my side. Also if you are using hosted exchange or Office 365 it saves your autocomplete and contacts so switching computers is way easier.
Hi Actually it was very good video , i have small problem that when i click on the file place to import it's refuse to continue saying " outlook was unable to retireve the data from from the file C\...\.... what shall i do ?? Thank you for your help
Hi Abdul - Folders for contacts can be created on my work domain so it might be a limitation from your IT department. You could also try going to the folder tab under contacts and it gives the option to create a new folder.
How you want to backup mail data when you can only be access from Outlook Portal? Do I need to add account in my Outlook? Because I need to backup others people mail.

I have the problem that in the Step Map custom field in the left side "from" that my value such as first name, last name etc. arent arrenged one below the other like it is shown in your video. In my case it shows first name, last name, e-mail side by side and I cant put them straightly. I can only take all data in one field. I dont know why. I spent now a whole day. The problem is that I have 5000 contact data to implement in outlook. Thanks in advance
Hi Al - Are you using the same version of outlook? Something to consider having 5000 contacts you might be needing a CRM (customer relationship manager) software instead of outlook. Also take a look at this article from Microsoft on importing a csv etop.tech/csvimport

Is it giving you any errors on the fail or is it just failing? I found another article that has a template CSV file. Try using that and see if that fixes the problem. etop.tech/CSV

I dont know Why Microsoft dont Write it on their Homepage where they explain it How to solve the Problem for different Packages then the US Version.

That's an interesting use case. Were you able to do this process before and it stopped working? If you are needing to track email and what not you might be better served looking at a CRM like hubspot that can give you reports on sent emails.

Doesn't work. Created csv and tried to import it in. Got as far as where in your screen it says Finish but there was no Finish button and the next button was greyed out so I could go no further. Outlook gave no message as to why I couldn't complete the process.
Hi Darko, That's an odd one! Have you tried restarting the program and then re-exporting to a .csv? That would be the best place to start. Sometimes Outlook gets a glitch.
It’s possible. It depends on if you uninstall and wipe out the profiles and then reinstall or just reinstall over. You might be able to take it to a local PC shop and they could find your contacts for you.

Try this: close Outlook on your machine, log into outlook.com, people, import from file, choose Microsoft Outlook (using CSV), browse for your CSV file, Import contacts open Outlook on your machine, watch it update once connected and you're done.
Why would you start exporting if this is a new installation of Out Look? Kind of dumb. Nothing to export. I wanted to import my Gmail contacts but this video is dumb. Which computer do I get the files to export. Is it another computer. USELESS.

This video is more aimed at if you have contacts in outlook on an old computer and you are for example transferring to a new computer. Hi there can you change the file location it’s looking at? Have you closed outlook and restarted the Pc or at least force closed the application?
Did you close Excel before trying to import the .cvs file?

The option for folders are not available in our work domain I think this is for home use only
