I know Wagner Moura is a AWESOME actor, but I didn't expect him to be so freaking good in voice acting

I like how in the movie we don’t know how much is death screwing with Puss and how much is Puss’s imagination taking hold of himself
This is why death is one of the best dreamworks villain he didnt just make puss fear him he made puss traumatized of his 1st encounter with death
Is he a villain though? I mean death itself isn't necessarily bad or evil despite what many still think.

@WinterStarWonderland Death isn't a villain. The real villain is Jack Horner.
Death is just doing his job. If he wanted to kill Puss, he would've already done it. Once Puss lost fear of dying and accepted that he was going to die eventually, Death left him alone and accepted Puss.
That's because Death was testing Puss. He wasn't going to legitimately kill him.

Being chased by literal Death is one thing. It'd be much more serious if he was being chased by Armstrong
I love how death wasn't written as a villain or a an antagonist. He was written as an overwhelming force to that sticks with Puss throughout the entire movie.
Completely unwavering, and willing to kill until Puss proves his worth and respect for his last life. It's almost one of those "All in Le head" stereotypes, but done exceptionally well by giving Death a direct motive for every action that takes place.
Every encounter and perceived strength of death directly correlates to how scared Puss is at the moment. Even during their final encounter death tests Puss and can see a slight hesitation/fear in his eyes as his expression changes @ 3:12
It's not until Puss takes full control of the fight when Death decides that his job is done for now.
One of the best written characters in Animation that I have ever seen. I never thought I would say this, but what started as a Shrek spinoff movie has evolved into an absolute animated classic that sets the bar way higher than I ever thought it could.
The way he just teleported there made me scream in the movie theater-
And i love how he says I’m Death Straight up
Favorite incarnation of Death, ever. His snark reminded me of Hades a bit.
Also 3:33, that long snout couldn't have shown up at a better time when Borzois are becoming popular.

Not exactly a lost cause, he wasn’t there to kill Puss in Boots. He was there to fight a legend who thought he was immortal and Puss no longer believes that about himself
Mf is literally an elden ring boss with the weapons, shit talk, and overall presence. Would be great for a dlc or at least to make a mod that makes the best men who throw similarly shaped knives from both bands look like that death wolf.
The only villain that cannot be defeated definitely, you can only put him off for a little amount of time.
He doesn't seem like a villain. Just something that overwhelms an individual unless they lose their fear and take control of a circumstance.

For those of you for some bizzare reason still didn't watch Tropa de Elite movies -- go for it! Moura is pretty brutal in those and I'm not surprised at all his voice acting worked so well in The Last Wish.
