A great meal that you can feed the 5 of you is Southern Beans and Cornbread. 1lb dry pinto beans $1, spices, 2-Jiffy Cornbread mix $1.24 (milk, eggs$0.55). Probably make it happen for $5 and delicious.
You eat what you can afford and thank God for the ability to afford food and eat. We are very spoiled in this country. lots of people starving around the world who never get to eat meat, to them it's a luxury.
One day when your babies get older they’re gunna look back on these videos and see the sacrifices and miracles their mom put together for them, and they’ll say thank you. You’re a good mom.
The chicken is really good at aldis We are on a strict budget for the month and we do great at Aldi's. We have plenty of food and we plan our meals and we do fine through the end of the month we shop every 2 weeks for our main shopping& we have family dollar & dollar tree right next to our house for items we need daily It really helps with keeping on budget
I love chicken like that. You know you getting your money worth. You did good. I wish there was a better Aldi where me that isn't in poor condition. Also, love the beans and dogs. My gma use to make that for me when I was a kid. I haven't had it since then. I will def have to change that.
If she can feed 5 on $10 then a single person can eat five meals .. .. I’m spending too much I had to rethink my spending….$75 a week for one .. .. I’m going to try this for August and see if I can eat for $150.00.. and add to my stockpile..
Agreed however it is also important to incorporate fresh vegetables with our meals that's why a lot of us in the African-American community add high blood pressure and cholesterol she can get frozen vegetables
I love hot dogs and pork n' beans. Pops is getting too old though and the hot dogs don't sit too well without a pinch of ginger powder and some mustard mixed in...lol. It keeps my stomach from looking like I'm a man carrying a child. Had some shredded BBQ chicken with scalloped potatoes yesterday so I could taste that chicken you were showing...good stuff.

If the chicken has bones it isn’t fake but if it’s too big that means chicken fed steroids to grow more. This is why you buy organic and whole small chicken you cut up yourself or buy from Trader Joe’s and it’s not real expensive
What do you mean the chicken didn't bleed? Commercially processed chicken has most of its blood removed during processing. You may see red/pink liquid in the package which is mostly water -- often from previously frozen cuts.
@@djursholmsflickawhat kind of mother will feed her children something that they wouldn't even eat? It doesn't matter if your child "liked it" or NOT, YOU felt that something was wrong with it! If it's not good enough for ME... It's definitely NOT good enough for my children !!!🤯🤬😠
See! My kids thought I was weird when they came home with COSTCO rotisserie chicken, and it was huuuuge! It was the size of a small turkey. Naw. Not today. We ain't eating that. It was unnatural to me. I couldn't even eat it. It physically made me ill. They had to get it out of the house. I couldn't describe why I couldn't stand the very sight nor smell of it. It was just. Wrong? It's been a few months ago. To this day, even if the chicken is regular size, I don't eat the cooked chicken from COSTCO. Even if it is cut up and in the prepared dinners. So now my kids think I am a drama queen. LOL.
Sometimes, you need to spread that $10 across a couple days. How about the Salisbury Steak, bag of potatoes, carrots and maybe some money left for a treat like Little Debbie cakes. What, no bread or buns? Note to self, always have a plastic shopping bag. So, you having chicken and hotdogs? WTF. On further review, shopping a 6 and meal a 3. You can do better. And you didn't eat the chicken. Total fail.
