    Hi Borut, how fantastic, you've made huge progress with your goal to make carbon prints from chimney soot. The result looks beautiful. I look forward to seeing how it looks with the added iron oxide, I think you're definitely onto something there to achieve some nice warm tones. Many thanks for sharing.

      Thank you James, I'm glad you like it. I will reduce the size of the particles of soot, so the tonality will be smoother. Yes, definitely something I will continue.

      I also see the potential in this cool black tone. Further more, this is the starting point. I will add pigments and materials into the glop for carbon prints. I like the start a lot.

      XPRIZE CARBON PARTICLE CAPTURE
      FORMULATED MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX WILL CAPTURE CARBON
      The heat loss from a smokestack can be forced into a large tank containing hot liquid microcrystalline petroleum wax. The heat will keep the wax at a molten state which facilitate the carbon to be absorbed when combined with the wax. Carbon when mixed with wax reacts like a dye. The wax-carbon amalgamation resulting into a black wax solution thereby making it impossible for the carbon to escape into the environment while in a liquid state. Other toxic particles are also captured in the wax settling at the bottom of the tank forming into a sludge. A sludge release valve is located at the bottom of the tank. After the sludge is removed more wax is replaced in the tank working something like a toilet. The sludge becomes a byproduct that can be used as an additive to asphalt for roads or used for cocooning nuclear waste materials for long-term safe burial. The entropy of the Earth has been increasing at a startling rate since the beginning of the industrial revolution caused mainly by the carbon that is released into the atmosphere. Government scientists have failed to stop and prevent carbon pollution from entering the environment. This problem can only worsen until a solution is found before this problem becomes irreversible. It has been discovered that formulated wax has been shown to be the only answer to this problem. William Nelson waxogen@gmail.com

    These prints will last thousands of years. Here in Seattle, we have a master printer that does color carbon printing. He’s the only remain in the world doing that.

      Thank you, yes, this can not fade. There are several color carbon printers. The best one that I know is Calvin Grier aka the wet print.

    What’s the deal with the ultrasonic cleaner? Are you using that to mix?

    • @BorutPeterlinPhotography
      @BorutPeterlinPhotography  2 года назад +1

      No, not really. The main purpose is to pop all the bubbles in a minute fast enough so that the pigment do not have time to sediment. And also it allows me to avoid filtering, since beside air bubbles also pigment would be filtered out.
